Default Questions on the Passing Game

Coaching tip on the passing. Things you need to look at when the bord stops and you want to pass.

1: Check you're protection, "O"Linemen down field, RB's on magnets ( Holding Offense ), QB on a magnet and the defender pushes the "O" Linemen back into the QB (Holding Offense)
2: Locate you're target receiver, and know the passing range he is in.
3: Mover you're non target receiver out of the path of defenders who are trying to make a play on the ball, or get into position to make a tackle.
( Remember if you're WR's block down field while the ball is in the air " befor the pass is caught" it will be call Offensive Pass Interference )

As you can see these are not some rules that I made up to please others, it is actual real football rules used. You as the coach have the ability to avoid these penalties.

Default The Original Passing Sticks Pass Placement

The Original

http://www.mpflfootball.com/football...simulation.htm

I am the inventer of Pass Placsment. PP is based on the QB leading the WR to an open area of the field. The faster, and strighter your WR can run the better your odds of a completion.

But this also give the Defence an opportunity to make a play on the ball. The defence MUST respect, and defend the passing game. PP it self forces you NOT TO STACK your players as a completion with PP can go for 6.

Here are the passing ranges, and the number passing stick to use.

Anything behind the LOS to 5 yards in front of the LOS is a 3 yard stick, if the QB, or WR are being touched by a defender then it becomes a 5 yard stick, or if the QB is out of the pocket and is throughing across field then you would add 7 yards to the pass, example WR1 is between 6-20 yards away from the LOS, ( 5 yard stick ) but the QB was flushed out of the pocket to his right, WR 1 is to the left. The pass would be a 5 yard stick, plus 9 for throughing across field.

Rang------- Normal pass------ Touching ------- Across Field
A 0-5---------(3)-----------------(5)----------------(Add 7)
B 6-20--------(5)-----------------(7)-----------------(9)
C 21-30-------(7)-----------------(9)----------------(12)
D 31-40-------(9)-----------------(12)---------------(15)
E 41-50-------(12)----------------(15)---------------(18)
F 51-60-------(15)----------------(18)---------------(N/A)
G 61 Plus-----(18)----------------(N/A)--------------(N/A)

The range is the front of the WR base from the LOS, then follow the chart.

Now Pass Placement was not ment to be played in a one stop system, but many have taken it and tryed to fit it into there system.
Well that is how it is with the Pass Placement System. It along with the TTQB focuses on the type of pass the QB throws; the TTQB a bullet pass and PP leading the receiver. What is the best pass to use on that play?

Default EXCELLENT STUFF TO KNOW

hey ant,

This is great to get some MPFL dialouge going. Can you go over how to throw screen and flare out to the RB'S behind the line of scrimage.

1) snap of ball

2) qb drops back and rb's flare out

on the next stop is that where you put down the three yard stick or the pass.

thanx

1) snap of ball ( Point the RB tward the side line or angle back a little to get the right angle )

2) qb drops back and rb's flare out ( Place the 3 yard passing stick down in front of the RB . )

on the next stop is that where you put down the three yard stick or the pass.
(*That is up to the coach as to when he or she wants to put the pass down, I can't tell you when and where to place the ball )

thanx
