81 - 83 Saints "Silver Rush"
Does anyone remember one of the defensive alignments the Saints used
under Bum Phillips called the "Silver Rush"? By its' name it is a pass defense, using dogs and blitzes off the formation. I am not sure whether it was a 3 or 4 man front. I think it utilized 4 LBs overloaded on the weakside, and I am not sure of the secondary's positioning. Anyone remember it and the formation? I'd like to try it with my team. |
