Default A suggestion to all

As a few of you may know, I've been trying to recoup some money or men from Shawn from Detroit. I have not received nothing, now something else has arises from another person in the hobby. Same situation, Guys here this. Learn how to do things for yourself. Make men; tweak bases, paint teams, etc. There are some guys who give this hobby a black eye. I'm very thankful I'm starting to regain my eyesight and now I can do some things for myself. I show mused that at the MFCA con. By winning the fastest man contest during the great tweak off. So I say to you all learn how to do things for yourself, you will be better off.

Default Honest Folks......

Dearell and Tim,
That's a shame that you or anyone else in this
hobby should have to go thru BS like this. All you
hear is " fellowship;friendship;camaraderie;help
others out;do the right thing" blah,blah,blah......
Well these type of dealings don't fall under ANY
of those categories,do they .........
I speak from experience.I've had my share of shady
dealings with shady cats and I can say,it ain't fun & I ain't happy....
I whole-heartedly agree with putting the names of the
"crooks" out in the open for all to see.Humiliate them.
They deserve it.I have no use for a liar or a thief.
But I know this won't happen. It's not politically-
correct, plus I'm guessing there are "legal" issues.
I don't think a thief or a liar should have any legal recourse
here but the way our laws read, they probably do.
And would probably win.Sad but true......
All I can say to anyone looking to get work done,
is to post on here and ASK who is reputable and who,
those in the know, would recommend.I assume that's
allowed.Maybe not.

Chris Stacey

i too like the ASK first thing.

just pop on here and for example say......

hey, i need the 74 redskins in dark jersey's, who is a reputable person to deal with?

then someone will chime in with a name or list of names and, there you go, contact one or more on the list and make your order....

i know myself personally, have been pretty fortunate, ive only got scammed twice, and once was probably a mistake, BUT, i want to throw this out now.there is so much talk of these bad dealings, and ive ordered stuff from a whole bunch of cats on here, so if i happen to owe you something, please send me an email or a private message, i will read it, and decide if its bogus or not...lol.

Default Point Blank....

Well Marty,
Not everyone has the talent or time or desire
to do them ,themselves.I'm not saying this to
get business.I'm saying this because these are
the facts. It's not "brain-surgery" but it takes
alittle "know-how" to paint/detail a team.I'm
sure many could pick it up easily. Some, not so easy.
That's just human nature. Not everything comes "easy"
to everyone. So for the ones that have issues with
doing their own team, there are people like myself
that try to help. That LIKE to help. It's not all about
money as many think. So let me clear that up right
up front before that gets turned into a nasty thread.
And believe me,it would get nasty.
If everyone learned how to paint/detail their own team(s)
it wouldn't bother me in the least. It would be a relief to
some extent. It's tuff pleasing some folks at times.Just
down-right frustrating. Not to mention getting paid like
you should. On time and in full.
So,although your idea is commendable,I don't see it
ever happening for the reasons I mentioned.Just my
thoughts on the matter.

Chris Stacey

MFCA Painting & Decaling a team

I have Chris Stacey to paint & decal teams for me all the time. My hands aren't steady enough ! He doesn't do it for the money , he does it to help out the hobby. As far as doing them yourself, point blank , some of us can't so we have to find people that can. I work alot on the road so my time is limited somewhat.

Default Do them your self

As Tim and Chris pointed out. Not everyone can do them their selves. No we can not name names on this forum due to the legal liabilities and anyone who does so is subject to violating the MFCA Code of Conduct.

If you have issues with some one then do it through PM or email. The majority of the people in this hobby are reputable but just like anywhere you have the few who are not.

Nothing the MFCA as an organization can do about that.

Default This is the funny part about all this

Twice I've been burned by 2 different people from the same mid west city. One I get no answer from and the other comes up with a bunch of excuss and promises when you talk to them. It's crazy........
