TTC and passing sticks
HI,
I've got a question for the passing sticks specialists (I integrated Buzzball passing stick rules in the MFCA beginner ruleset). I know some people are using the TTC bases for defense play, setting them to run in circles and bring field coverage (safeties, for example). My question is, when you use some TTC based defenders running in circle, and then the offense try a passing play : in passing sticks rules, you can pivot free defense players to try to intercept the pass. But do you allow defense team to set the dials of TTC too (so the circle running TTC figure can be set to run straight to interception, for example) or even swap the circle running figure to a straight running one ? thank you |

The ttc bases are used on safeties to play zone coverage. Now when used for styles that the ttqb is used for passing the safeties cannot make a play on the ball. But after a catch is made the defense is allowed to adjust the dial to make a tackle after the receiver has made the catch. Now in styles where the passing sticks are allowed the ttc base can be adjusted to make a play on an interception or go to where he can possibly make the tackle.
Hope this helps you Dimitri. Joel

Yes
D,
As I stated in my other post, our rules, DSMFL, DSEFL and Dixie league allow you to pick-up your player after a completed pass w/TTQB or before turning the board back on on stick passing, after the offense puts the ball down. We typically use a Miggle ref to "mark" the DB was, so you do not "cheat" him closer, adjust the dial to try for the interception, put him back down and select your angle of attack. It helps if they are really fast...Joel_P1 worked w/me on how to tweak them for speed and w/time, I am getting a bit better...you should see how fast his are I think, many leagues allow the same... On another note, I am hoping someday to pull together some money before I die to take my wife and two sons, 22 and 25 yrs old to Italy as we are 100% Italian, parents born there...if that ever happens, I'd love to visit France and to meet you would be an honor...pretty much a dream a this point Edit: ah ya, I see you heard from Joel already Joe Ram |

thank you for the complete explanations I believe I'll make a marker (same thing that is used in snooker for example) for the TTC dial use...I believe it can bring new fun options to the game.
For the travels, I hope one day visit USA and canada ! I've got relatives in New Jersey (Poland origins) and english canada too. But, as you said, that type of things cost a lot of money, wich I don't have either If you come to France someday, we'll go fishing |

I don't fish in boat (or float tube), cause it's too expensive for me for now, but I do fresh water fishing : lure fishing (black bass, perch), living and dead bait (pike, zander, catfish) and "worm" fishing (catfish, perch, bremen, tench, roach).
This year, we tried salt water fishing (since I live near atlantic ocean), but without any result...Next year I hope I'll learn surf casting. And english fishing in fresh water too ! Fishing is one of the most beautiful things we can do IMHO |
