Default If you can't customize,.......try tweaking

I read were coaches get upset at destroying bases as they learn to tweak, TRUST ME, it's natural and it's apart of learning,...........I remember paying $5 each for widetops, I myself in the beginning destroyed atleast 20 of these babys,.........bases that you think are messed up just put them to the side,.......when your more experienced go back to them, I bet you will be able to fix them all,..so don't worry.

P.S. I can't customize for nothing in the world, but I sure do love tweaking bases, heres some shots of some of my work done for coaches across the country this pass year.

A picture is worth a 1000 words.

New to tweaking?? Then study these pics, look at the prongs, use this to guide you along on your quest to become a successful tweaker.

It is fun stuff!

wow, those pics inspire me to tweak. Just curious, are flat pliers better than rigid pliers, cause I can't find or don't have any flat pliers around. Where do you buys them?

Default HOT POST, NICE!!!

Honestly, i cant appreciate this post cause i just have not yet got into tweaking yet. i know there is so much knowledge here, but i just dont recognize it. i have no idea what i am looking at.

but i also know that,

in a year from now, when i bump this up, i will know all about it, and i will be answering questions for the new guys of that future era.

Thanks Norbert, i am inspired to get down with the tweaking alittle more now myself.

YOUDAMANBOYEEEEEEE!

On photo 24, the 4th base from the left is resting at a 4 degree angle and slightly out of line as opposed to the standard 9 degree angle of the rest of the bases. You may want to reshoot that photo.

Norbert- awsome photos! I'm going to have a few of these photso up on the screen during my next tweaking session.

A figure (no matter how well detailed) is just a figure until it is mated with the right base, which to coin Reg's phrase, turns them into an "athlete". Well....each one of these hand tweaked bases brings the miniature "athlete" to life. Keep doing what your doing, the ability to tweak eludes many and thru your efforts of mastering this art you raise the level of this game for many!

Amen. If I did that much tweaking, you'd have to lock me up in the mad house.
