Default Covering up a mistake

How do you cover up a mistake when you are painting? Do you paint over it, or and some decal a slight bit over to cover it or what would you do?

Default painting mistakes . . .

I've painted over it and I've also cleaned figure with a light thinner and started over.

It depends on the kind of mistake. Small ones can be covered with a lil more paint or a decal. Big ones, strip with thinner and start over. It depends.

What kind of mistake?

Default Painting Mistake

If you have more figures, get another figure(s) and start again. Depending on the brand of paint that you used can determine if the paint peels off easily. Liquitex acrylic is that kind of paint. It can be lightly scraped off with a toothpick before it cures. If the mistake is a stripe on the pants, you can use a small hobby file to scratch off the paint.

To really get an idea of the mistake that you made, we need more information from you.
