Default A player's skill in EF....

As I have mentioned previously in a post, I LOVE designing games and have been kicking around the idea of a more casual-player friendly version of the game using a 7 man line-up, one of the smaller boards, and flag football field markings...I know it's weird. 80 or 60 yard field....20 or 15 yard first down marks. 40 or 30 yd line midfield. I would add narrower goal posts like indoor football. I'm thinking of calling it Electric Sevens Football or some other such nonsense. I was actually working on a boardgame for this, but I think it would translate better using EF.

Defensive player positions would be: D-Line, CB, Safety, Blitzer. Only blitzer can rush the QB IF he starts 7 yards behind LOS. This is a mechanic I have to figure out how to implement with the bases. How does a D-Line defend the line without pushing forward? May not be possible. Hmmm.

Offensive player positions would be: O-Line, QB, WR, Tackle, RB - WR, Tackle and RB are all elligle receivers.

The one unique aspect I want to add is the idea of player skills. Each player would be assigned a Reaction rating from 1 to 4. It would affect his ability to TURN during a stoppage. A clear template would be used showing 45 degree hash marks in a full circle. During a stoppage, you would place the template over the player's head and use the front clip as an arrow. A big lumbering lineman might have a Reaction of 1, so can only turn one 45 degree mark during a stoppage. A quick WR might have a 3 so could turn 135 degrees. 3 45 degree marks. I think this would nicely and simply simulate a figure's ability to read and react to the play developing.

Okay...you can all laugh now...
