to be more specific, the saw dust I used is a modelling flock I bought for this use : but in real, it's just stained saw dust.

The stain color is not interesting for me, since I use this flock only for the purpose I explained : I glue it with PVA glue, then harden it with diluted pva glue, and once it is dried, I paint and dry brush it. So the result is looking good AND very sturdy (because this is a playing figure, not a showcase one, and because the base fixation can destroy a turf not enough solid).
