Default The Greatest Looking Figure In Mf/ef History By 5-13 Studios

Coaches,

The greatest looking figure i've ever seen is this TERRY BRADSHAW dwayne jennings had. He said 5-13 customized and painted it. I understand it was made from a haiti repro. It had the throwback bradshaw facemask with the black lines under his eyes. The pose was ridiculous, looked like a mcfarlane bradshaw with dirt and all on the paints. That is the first figure i've seen that looked like a mcfarlane. I believe the painting was done using the warhammer technique. The skin was shaded and the uni was not shinny at all. it looked like he was in the middle of a game dropping back to pass. Mike robertson said he had to go and take some asprin because he was getting a headache looking at this figure.

maybe one day Mr. jennings will post a pick of it.

Default Great pics and figures!

I don't know how I missed all of those before!

Can you tell me what you use for creating the pad build-up...like in the soulders on Urlacher?

Again, excellent stuff!

i use aves apoxie. it is a 2 part sculpting compound that dries hard as a rock, and is easily manipulated with water and sculpting tools while soft. check it out here: http://www.avesstudio.com/

Chris,

How did you paint the skin on the bradshaw ?

Also, how did you get the pants to have that dirty weathered look, like it was the 4th quarter during a game ?

i CAN'T PAINT FOR ANHTHING BUT I AM SURELY CURIOUS HOW THAT LOOK WAS ACHIEVED !!!!!!!!!!!

I have seen a couple of sellers on ebay.

Plus it sounds a lot like that "Miracle Putty" that the face of informercials "Billy Mays" does the ad for: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypWJs_lb_Nw

I have seen that at Walgreens.

Thanks again!

nah, apoxie is a little bit different. miracle putty is a take on an item called green-stuff. it's plumbers putty, used to seal joints around metal pipes. it never totally hardens and is not tooled easily after "cure". warhammer guys use that stuff a lot. i like apoxie because it cures "rock hard" and is easily tooled and sanded after cure. it is also easy to work with while in its malleable state.

I know the figure you are talking about and I also had a chance to see it at the Brawl. I was speechless. Yes 5-13 Studios is VERY talented. I am glad that Dwayne Jennings allowed us to see the figure at the Brawl along with many others. Good post Dre.

Even as a Steelers fan, I'd disagree.

The Earl Campbell he did that leads off the Misc. Figures thread is the best one I've ever seen.
