Default painting progress

I could not wait tommorow, so I started the painting first white coat done (helmets, legs).

Once it will dry, I'll make experiment with the orange tone. Since I don't have any orange botlle available, I'll make my own mix. It's interesting to have "drop paint bottle" to make that type of work, because it's easier to make the same mixes each time !

Hi,

I finished the legs and shoes. On the pics the colors appears a little saturated...

Now, I have to work on the skin tone and perhaps see what I can do to shade a little the white pants without making it dirty. Tought...I'll see the overall aspect of the fig later.

to be continued...

Default skin done !

Hi,

I finalized the skin tone painting. I made it slightly lighter than the last time.

Now I'll do the face (eyes, chinstrap, etc...) and helmet and jersey stripes. Then, I'll have to make custom decals to complete the figs

Lovely! You really have an eye for color. I tried some of the green stuff for the first time last night...and awesome new tool in the tool kit. Do you apply it sometimes with a brush? Do you use a solvent?

THank you !

For the green stuff, I never use solvent. I make diferent mixes, adding more yellow or more blue, depending of what I want to do.

More yellow : softer
More blue : "stickier" (not sure that word exists )

Last tip, be sure to always apply your green stuff on a clean figure. ALways wash your fig with some soap (because the figures can keep traces of molding grease, even if you can't see it).

they look great , did you not use any shading on the pants ? If you did it is very subtle.

Yes of course I did No, seriously, I didn't do any shading or effects on the pants for now. I want to complete the whole figure before, and I 'll keep that for the end. I'm thinking about the technic I should use : grey or blue. I have to make tests before.

Default shades and highlights

Hi,

This evening I worked on the jerseys. I made the shades with red ink washes, and make highlights with an orange paint mix with more yellow than the basic coat.

I finished the highlights with a glaze of diluted orange .

Here's a little pic. Since here it's almost the night, I made the pic with my desk lamp, so the colors are saturated. But you can guess the effects on the figs; tomorrow I'll make better pics with day natural light.

I hope my friend will be happy...I worked more on his figs than mine

Tonight I'll make the same with the pants.

Default pants

Hi,

Last work for today I believe, I made the shades on the pants. I use light grey diluted paint to do that. I made some pics, but it's very difficult to make good pics of white and orange figs at night...But the essential is that you can see the shading details

TOmorrow I'll make better pics, and create the needed custom decals.
