It's difficult to shut down teams in electric football but I think having the right athletes bring you closer to doing that. In the DFW style of play where you can throw to engaged players, it would seem that scoring would be up. However, some of the best defenses in the league give up anywhere from 6 to 13 points per game.
In the system Michael Robertson, Oscar Woodard, and myself run, the OLB, Shutdown Corners, and safeties work hand in hand. That's privy information because I know my opponents read this site but never comment. I can offer you methods to slow the other person down.
