Short video on youtube
Found this video today, I can watch this a hundred times and not be tired of it. It is perfect, watch the left guard pull perfectly around the right tackle and seal off the gap. I wish the video would have finished.

Nice play....although it looked like the ball carrier was about to get clocked when the video cut off.

Yeah
I agree w/DC, that lineman was coming strong and maybe even knocked the ball carrier over. The pulling guard was nice, but what makes that play is the right side of the "O", collapsing the defensive line in towards the center of the field. Which makes it a little easier for the RB to slide of his lineman. Nice play!

OH YEAH
Watch the little miggle fullback, he took his man all the way to the sidelines with his block.

Nice....but the defense got handled across the board. No need for a pulling guard there.....just run it up the gut with the fullback in front. That fullback sure did his job....he springs the whole play.

It shows well the use of side running figures. On my last play last friday, I often used upside down running figures, side coverage, etc...
But....if I was the defender, I would not play that formation I know, easy to say after the video...but the right side rushing was a little obvious. Even if finally, the defense "saves" the point with a probable tackle ! |
