Default Seawall Brawl " One Of The Great Spectacles Known To Man"

COACHES,

If you did not get down to the seawall brawl you mised an incredible show !!!! I never saw so much love and respect all under one roof, all ego's were surely left back home (im serious). If it's fellowship you want this one event sumed it all up. I MISS ALL YOU GUY'S ALREADY !"

Don smith did a masterful job in quaterbacking this historic event, everything was made to order. THE DINNER was incredible

1)mac and cheese to die for
2)fried chicken out of this world
3)potato salad that puts anyone elses to shame
4)peach cobbler
5) ribs i can still taste !!!!
6)buttered rolls that were butter !!!
It was too many food items to remember them all but i had three seperate plates just so i could sample everything!!!!

YOU MISSED SOME GOOD EATIN !!!!!!

The coaches meet and greet out on hotel deck on the water looking accross at downtown norfolk was off the charts. perfect relaxing atomsphere with a beautiful breeze watching the ships and boats sail by. We were all sitting their talking life and ef, WE HAD

1) pasta salad
2)cold cuts on rolls
3) a MANTA- array of crackers
4) fruit salad with a dipping sauce
5) wine

THAT WAS A GREAT WAY TO TAKE A BREAK ON SATURDAY EVENING !

The awards ceremony was an incredible show, their were various awards given out that were well organized and ran smoothly (more on this later)

I will say, the great king REG RUTLEDGE was very touched by his life time achievement award, a heavy crystal and glass globe representing reg's work and contibutions accross the land. Everyone knows i love reg and it did my heart well (i got choked up) when everyone stood up chanting (" REGGIE REGGIE REGGIE REGGIE) It had quite the impact as when muhammed ali fans chant ( ali ali ali ) it was a very touching moment.

THE GAMES (THE BATTLES, they were so fierce i think the fire department are still cleaning up.) I will create a seperate post on this later BUT !

I never saw so much defensive sticking(hitting) and interceptions in my life. I saw qb's getting blitzed to death and getting caught. One thing i learned from this experience is you must have lock down cb's and safety's in their position. If you dont play an honest defense your going to get caught. Games were extremely fun, i ran back a kickoff to the house to tie up dearell 7 to 7 in the 3rd and he runs a kickoff right back to go up 14 to 7 and win. My receivers were open all day but in using plass simmy they would keep running pass the ball for an incomplete. I also threw 2 stupid pic's that cost me. GREG HARDMAN has incredible safety play, they were sticking like crazy. This invention of the strategy divider is the greatest, the element of suprise is anticipated each time it is lifted, YOU DONT KNOW WERE THOSE RUNNING ARE !!!!.Each game was like playing in a real pro game, to walk around a see all the different play calling was a beautiful sight, from the sweeps, to the screens, to playing the hashmarks, to coaches going 5 wide, they dont call it a strategy divider for nothing !!!!!!

IT WAS ONE HE DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS OF A TOURNEY !!!!!!

Thank you don smith and jimbo

Default Thank You Dre!

I gotta say that meeting you and AB were two of the highlights of my weekend, Dre. AND I actually got a chance to crack plastic with you in our preliminaries!!! Those MANTAS weren't half-stepping and I'm sure we'll see them and fear them a lil more next year!!!

Keep doing what you do and I hope to see you before next year's SWB. Peace.

Thumbs up Broadway comes to Tidewater...

Dre,

Like Jimbo (AKA Jim Breezy as he's known here in Tidewater) I too have to say that meeting you was a highlight. You are what's right about this hobby. The examples that you set by being the kind of person that you are is why our hobby seems to be moving in the right direction as of late. Keep fellowshiping as you have, and continue putting those Manta-rays on the board when you can. I look forward to speaking with you again.
