![]() The WMLMF welcomes painted bases. That's all I ever use. I can only wish that the enamel made them extra slippery, or that the extra paint made them super strong. The funny thing is, when I weigh a painted rookie base it weighs the same .8g as a non-painted one, so I don't see what the problem is. I mean, guys paint figures all the time and load them up with 100 layers of clear coats to get them up to whatever limit they're allowed, but paint a base that still wieghs .8g and guys throw a tizzy. Makes no sense to me....

A figure doesnt usually make contact before a base does. That is why there isnt a problem with the figures. Also most leagues dont weigh a base separate from a figure. And if you have him glued to the base then you cant weigh it separate. Or even if not glued I for one do not like taking a figure off his base to weigh it. I dont want to handle other peoples teams in that matter. So as I stated to keep controversy down and keeping peoples mind at ease its just not allowed.
