Default Going it alone....

One of my friends dropped by yesterday to get some figures and shoot the bull. He's a solitaire player. He began asking me about what I am doing, the solitaire life, and what do I plan to get out of it.

For me, I've always wanted to go back to solitaire. I really hate playing in leagues, I really do. Too much arguing and win at all cost has been long the reason why it steadily drained any energy out of me. But in telling him all of this, he could appreciate the therapeutic aspects of wanting to play alone.

He asked if I would show him how I do it. We spent about an hour going through how I do it. Before he saw, he had determined when he played alone, his favorite team (the Eagles) would always win.

We talked about the variable weights, in that some players (mainly HOF'ers and superstars) had more weight that other. Every team did not have superstars. When I showed him the Packer power sweep actually work with how I had things set up, it totally sold him.

You bring people back to the game any way you can or give them more information to look at new perspectives on the game. Then he began to want to know more about the Shootout method in solitaire. I told him it's 100 plays, game usually ends in 3 hours or less, and you play whenever you want.

He asked then can he just stop over and watch. He just wanted to see how I did it. He then told me "Reg, I think I will go it alone and be more balanced in who I let win. What you are doing makes me want to run home and play right now".

Default me too..

The best thing about solitaire is that you don't have to wait on anyone, you wanna play the number of agmes that you wanted at THE TIME that you wanted.

No arguments, no disputes, no nothing.

solitaire is so extraordinaire
