Default Coaches, "COME ON MAN!" thread.

COACHES,

During gameplay only. THE GAME IS OVER SO YOU SHOULD ALL LAUGH AT WHAT MADE YOU UPSET DURING THE GAME ITSELF. ITS ALL FUN. YOU CAN NAME THE OTHER COACH.

FOR ME,

*** it was the miggle in jacksonville. I CLEARLY STATED walter payton of my bears had the ball on a sweep. he ran for an 80 plus touchdown. i forgot the other coaches name, he was from alabama. After payton crossed the goal line and im saying touchdown. the Other coach looks me in the face and said, ' I THOUGHT YOU SAID THE QB HAD IT). Why the H. E double hockey sticks would i give it to the qb on a sweep. I said forget it and we did the play over. ken allen comes over and says, 'That was a touchdown.

Default come on man...nice

I was playing a league game and had the QB keep the ball and it was a nice gain...funny thing I had the same fig on a player with #12 on it. The coach ask me who has the ball and I say Qb and at a quick glance I say #12(same qb fig) well #12 was in a fumble situation with 2 tackles on him and the keeper that was the QB was #15 instead of a gain, I caughed up the ball and my bad call and (eyesight, I just got glassess for ) forced me into a tie in that game....

II. In a SB game QB rolls out ...up and on the way to paydirt...he hits a hot spot ...popcorns and falls 7 yards from the endzone knowing I was on the that hotspot...I elected to go for a fg to end the half...bad decision kick got blocked and after turnover..opposing coach scores with 7 seconds on the clock
Come on man

Default for me

i was playing a league game a few years back against a division rival,it was 4th down and 3 yds to go and he ran a off tackle play ,my strong safety which was on a clear speed base and didnt posses much strength at all hit him about 1 yd short of his first down and his runner was on a ttc base and he said he made it but my speed base pshed him back a yd,after telling him he was crazy , and didnt feel much like argueing i gave in and went on to lose the game on probably that lone contraversial play as i was up 14-7 late in the 4th qtr. and would have had the ball deep in his territory, everytime i think about that i cringe .but thats football. come on 'dude' i meen man.

Default Good thread Dre

Mine was my first tournament that I ever participated in - Buzzball 2006. I am in the second round and am playing Pat Morris. The game is tied 21 - 21 and it is the last play of the game.

I have the ball at midfield and need a TD to win the game. I call a pass play and I get my steadiest, straighetest running player (#21 Tiki Barber) open way downfield. In Buzzball you either use passing sticks to complete a pass and the receiver can advance or you replace the receiver with a target, use a TTQB to hit the target for a completion, but the ball cannot be advanced.

My receiver is open at about the 20 yardline (so using the TTQB is out). He is completely behind the defense. I set the passing sticks down and have the ball placed at about the 2 yard line. All he has to do is hit it and he will walk into the end zone.

Pat is pivoting his players to try to make a play but it is meaningless as he has no one near my receiver - no one on his team is in position to make a play.

As he is doing this I am nervously pacing back and forth waiting to turn the board on. As I am doing so the unthinkable happens - I accidently step on the switch, the board goes on and my receiver, of course runs straight and true and hits the ball for a sure TD. Because Pat was still making his adjustments the play is nullified and I have to run another play.

Of course, I go on to lose in overtime and am eliminated. I have no one to blame but myself.

Come on Man.

Default good one

1999 Philly Miggle Convention

First action on the big stage and all the hopla was there. Thru all the fun and stuff came the on field action. Back then you played with what you had...none of the "use my products only" thing going on... well anyway this guy pulls out what he called "the Wolfpack" team...could have been NC St...anyway, he thought he could play with his team but HE PAINTED THE PLATFORMS AND THE BASES WITH FINGER NAIL POLISH!!
cOME ON MAN!

In the same action, I am playing well and running up and down the field and get to the last game before playing in the final four. I am playing one of Philly's finest - Paul Daniels. Well he had his 4 plays and got about 20 yds. So now I am up... I get to the last play needing 10 yds for chance to go into the AFC title game.... i run the play, get C.Martin up field about 12 yds and all I have to do is complete the pass...had a lane...but wait where is my ball....no where to be found and I passed on 1st down....well in those days you did not always have extras so in the event to complete the game I ask my openent for a ball to use,,it did not have to be "his" passing rock but something... He said no and I used something else and missed while he was in my face.........
Come on man

Default

This year at the convention I was playing Doug S. (Rookie) and as I went to pass I heard the pass clock saying 6,5,4....so I rushed and put the TTQB down, had to angle him to the side for a passing lane and flicked a tight pass thru traffic with my LEFT HAND...COMPLETE to my best RB at the 10 yard line heading straight for the score! When the board turned on my RB jumped almost 90 degrees and shot out of bounds at the 8 and I was held without a score on that possession....

COME ON MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

coaches, good stuff.

Every coach in there ef history has some sort of story lurking somewhere.
Nothing went 100 % right for anyone. So far the stories are great.
I hope to hear many many more.

HEY GRECO, COME ON MAN. 'THE SWITCH"
