Let's face it, not everyone is going to be on board... honeslty, I don't see ANY downside to creating MFCA teams, but there is a LOT of apathy in this hobby. I for one am willing to move forward on this with only a few coaches as I feel its important and the timing is right. I hope the BOD and the marketing committee will give this its full support. I would welcome any comments on why we shouldn't move forward with MFCA teams. Member 4 of 300

Don Lang is heading up a marketing committee conference call tonight. I don't know his agenda for the evening, but we will talk at least a little about this idea.
I haven't commented as yet because I wasn't sure if I understood the idea that you presented. I still don't know if I get it exactly. There may be others on the BOD or the forum that have a better grasp on how this fits into the overall scheme of things. I'm still a little fuzzy on it. If it is to become official as an MFCA project, then it would have to be voted on by the BOD all though anyone here can start just about anything they want. Any member of the MFCA can write up the proposal, but it needs to be in an organized fashion and with a plan. It also requires manpower to initiate. Quite frankly, I have little success in getting people to stick to the projects (with of course some great exceptions) we have attempted to start or get behind some of the events we had hoped to have. The MFCAL seems to be dragging (I can't figure out why people don't take advantage of this), skills competitions non existent, finding people to write articles for the web or The Tweak is like pulling teeth, finding people who are self starters to help organize the web site and forum besides a couple of you has generally failed, people volunteer for committees and then disappear. I hate to rain on the parade because I am all for anything that grows this hobby, but if this or any other idea is going to come to fruition, then there need to be people to head up the committees and take it on as a serious commitment. Besides a handful of people and I literally mean a handful, I have yet to see people who are truly committed to the mission of the MFCA. If I ticked anyone off....good...maybe it will re inspire people to take part and commit a few minutes a month to doing something...anything! Sorry for ranting and I am probably off subject and I apologize for that, but if you really want this then be prepared to be the head of the committee and don't expect to just hand it off to the BOD. This is YOUR MFCA and it can do a lot of things as an association, but what it achieves is a direct reflection of its membership and their commitment.

The general concept here is to move away from NFL- NCAA teams and logos and devolop our own. Perhaps in the future, copyright our own teams and logos. Marketing aspect is obvious and I hope that Andre would help myself and others who are behind this to submit and organized plan of action.....This would be done under the newly formed marketing committee My vision of and MFCA team league is a long-term plan designed to build brand recognition for our own teams...Sell them, use them as a basis for teaching - how to paint, how to make decals, how to build a team, how to design field covers.......and maybe re-energize some of the events we already have in place; maybe even more far reaching, if we ever get a TV/ internet show or commercials, we don't need to be concerned with licensing restrictions. Lynn that's my vision for where we are going with this.....

I'll sign up if it helps. Just tell me what to do.
For a team, I'd do: MFCA Thoroughbreds (black, brown, gray, white). Roo
