I've yet to go to MFCA because the first year I had lost my job right before it, and the rest, finances just didn't allow it. I have no idea what the scenario will be like come this August. I'll know, probably in August.

I've been to three Miggles (DC, Baltimore, Canton). Canton was a no-brainer, because I wanted to see the HOF. I really don't remember that convention much at all. I remember the Friday night - having dinner with my EF brethren IN THE HALL OF FAME! Hell, I could have shot tomato sauce on a Cowboys helmet, if I wanted to have that much fun, and get arrested.

The rest of the weekend? I don't remember. The HOF was the thing for me.

This upcoming Miggle weekend in Columbus is one I would like to go for the following reasons:

1) I'd like to see a good many EF folks who, for whatever reason, I've not been able to catch up with in a year or more (and some in several years).

2) I'd like to play in the Miggle tourney for the first time, to prove my ranking of #174 in the state.

3) Columbus is a great town. Great places to eat. I plan on getting out of the hotel more than a little bit to check out some different places that I've heard about.

But we'll see. Depends on finances. Can't answer that question now. So if I don't make it, that's life.

Ed

Default 2 cents

after my first MIGGLE trip to CLEVELAND i have not missed one. I have traveled to many other tournaments. but to do this, you have to plan and save your money. I must admit that I have a job where I can take off with pay and I have weekends off.
when I break a dollar I put all the change in my tall beer bank bottle for tickets and hotel money. plus I have a son that plays so I have to plan for 2.
just a plan I use.

I looked into that - CBJ's only game that weekend is at St. Louis. Too bad, I totally would've been up for that.

I'm sure CorEy could let you know where the "Hot" spots are in Columbus. Right down the road from what I remember.
