Default JUST RIGHT for REG AND FRENCH GUY

REG/FRENCH GUY,

Can this be crafted into some sort of tv guide front page for ustream games.

Can a page be created just to announce a schedule for all upcoming games.

I think more people will try to broadcast this time around.

ALL, if you cant watch a game the time it is aired. That same day, just save it to your desktop and watch it whenever you want. create your own library. You can also burn the games to dvd if you wish !

Default Yes, that's an easy fix but...

I would let French Guy or Wolf do. Those types of banners can be done. The problem is lining up legitimate games that will be done online.

I know this season with the CBSMF, between the likes of Greg Hardmon, Rick Garrison, Michael Robertson, Morgan "Mozeek" Scott, Joe Greco, Bob Slate, JoeRam, gonna try to get Geno onboard (have not talked to him yet), and others, there's enough knowledge floating around the country to have a lineup of games and shows.

We can even do some "How To" video sessions as well. But things like this (in my opinion) should not be just a free source of information for those who will benefit indirectly. I just have a problem with that. I put in the hard time and others are rewarded. So that's something that will need to be figured out.

That's one of the reason I am doing my own NFLGTSL Broadcast Network. I do get tired of doing the work for others to benefit. That's a fight for another day.

But yes, it would be nice to see a weekend lineup like this:

March 10, 2011 - Friday
6:00 - PAC 10 Preview Show hosted by Eric Robinson and Dave Campbell
7:00 - Big 10 Preview Show hosted by Steve Martin and Don Lang
8:00 - SEC Preview Show hosted by Marlon Brown and David Nickles
9:00 - MountainWest Preview Show hosted by Eric Thompson and Perry Burke
10:00-2010 CBSMF Recap show

March 11, 2012 - Saturday
8:00 - Big East Preview hosted by Robert Slate
9:00 - Independents Preview
10:00 - CUSA Preview Show hosted by Frank Johnson
10:00 - Big 10 Game of the Week (Ohio State buckeyes v. Michigan Wolverines)
1:00 - SWC Game of the Week (Oklahoma Sooners v Texas Longhorns)
4:00 - Big East Game of the Week (Syracuse v Michigan)
7:00 - Recap show from across the nation
7:30 - ACC Game of the Week (Catholic v Pitt)
10:30 - Pac10 Game of the Week (UCLA v USC)

March 12, 2012
1:00 - SEC Game of the Week (Tennessee Vols beat Alabama)
4:00 - CUSA Game of the Week (Purdue v Indiana)
7:00 - Prime Time National Game featuring two of the best teams in a conference. This game would go from conference to conference.

This is just a sample. Shows such as "How to's, Recaps, old footage, etc) could be put into time slots.

I think something like this would generate excitement and revenue for the league. Some games could be highlighted as premium games and others would be free TV games. Equipment need to be paid for and supported throughout the country and this is how those things happen. Websites need to be paid for and just a whole host of things.

It could be done if people were willing to accept the cause and the responsibilities that go along with the cause.

I could not ask that of no one if I was not willing to do it myself. Most of the time, I would go it alone. But I see some guys are interested in what I am and to enjoy what we could possibly have, it takes vision and "want to" in this manner.

I know a lot of the guys I mentioned in this write up would probably have no problem in doing this but I don't want to extend anyone if they are not able.

Talking "Entertainment"

Is there a way to put a cam on a visor for the coaches to wear? If so is there a way to toggle the view from coach to overhead cam, without the need for another body? Just to broadcast will not be enough, the games has to be able to be followed thoughout. We have to find a way to get those closeups without the need for a camera man. Build it we will follow.

Default shaky cam

The visor cam is not a good idea I believe. For broadcast on internet, with broadband speed and reincoding speed (bitrate) you will loose frames per second and image resolution.

The other thing is to think about the scale object syou 're filming. All the game action in MF is concerning 30mm figures. Macro vision. It's like filming bugs. You can't have a shaky cam for macro video or pictures.

Any camera not fixed on a stand will create "shaky effects" on screen. ANY CAMERA HAS TO BE FIXED ON SOMETHING FOR GOOD RESULT.

See the scheme under :

For me, the less worth broad cast will have camera angle 1 or 2.

The best broadcast will have the 3 angles in the same time.

In all cases, no one should be allowed to go in front of camera (difficulty to adapt the broadcast to gaming methods). It's why multi camera angles can be usefull to switch the action when the coach has to move around the table.

A solution with camera angle 2 is to always run offense in front of the camera. So the coach, even if he's using ttqb for kick or pass, will never be in front of camera. (see the example behind : imagine the offense coach is always where the goal posts are : the throwing and kicking will also throw the ball to the camera spot).

Example of the camera angle 2 (you can of course make if higher and closer, but you get the idea) :

Light is also a critical point for good broadcasting.

Just ideas.

To answer DRe question, I belie broadcast websites allows people to create/upload a profile graphics card, so I believe we make it

Default Also, LaRue had a brilliant...

concept and I learned this from him.

You can mount mini-cameras on a piece of wood and have as zoom in shots right at the point of attack. Those cameras can be signalled through a DVR or in some cases, be remotely configured to record through the computer.

There will be that type of technology in the CBSMF. These are things I already have and at least, in the CBSMF, we will not have to worry about that. Everything is set as far as broadcast production is concerned.

I've been doing this for quite some time now and I pretty much know what will and will not work. But LaRue's concept of zoom in camera was something I had thought about but thought I would have to have a special camera to do that type of zoom.

Default rule #1 :

Keep it simple.

The fact is that you will not always have someone like Reginald or Jeff Elby (once again, some video reference points for me, not the only ones, but the first coming into my mind) to operate the cameras, the zooms and all the stuff.

A stable stand, a camera with good visibility, and a game adapted to the broadcast (see my post below). Simple but eficient.

Don't try to be too ambitious the first time. Try and make tests before if you can.

Default ideas

coaches,

I do believe a fast tutorial would help alot. An extremely set up guide.
I think it is a good idea if someone recommended EXACTLY what camera they used that worked the best. Then everyone push to get the EXACT SAME CAMERA. league/conference dues strictly to get the camera. Also a laptop. which were about $250 last week at various stores for christmas sales.

bit what kind of laptop. How many megs or gigs/speed or whatever. TELL US EXACTLY WHAT TO GET THAT WILL WORK ON USTREAM.

Then we can talk about the connections later. AN EASY SET UP GUIDE FOR THAT.
I think that is part of the problem, some dont know exactly what to do. many people are not tech whizes like others. They need further instruction. MYSELF INCLUDED.
One problem that needs to be addressed is ustream itself. Some games flow better than others. Sometimes the action just stops or breaks up a little.
Then other games flow right through. when a games starts and stops, after a while you get annoyed and turn it off. Is that a ustream problem or a camera problem. i have a very fast computer so im not sure what is happening. i looks like the speed is not matching up somewhere.

Default preview shows

coaches,

preview shows would be off the chain with coaches like,

1)erob
2)d campbell
3)frank johnson
4)mike robertson.

many more coaches, with interviews, game strategies, etc etc.

You have to seperate those willing to host and those willing to be interviewed
That would build up all the way to the game.

it would be nice.

You can pick one day and do all the interview shows and have them already recorded. Like reg did at the sea wall brawl. just pick one day and everyone in a conference or league meet somewhere for just that purpose.
