Default CHARGERS DETHRONE TITANS 20-10 (Recap & photos) (New LT Figure)

TODAY IN THE NJLMFL-WHERE THE LEGENDS PLAY

AFC DIVISIONAL PLAYOFF GAME

Tennessee Titans at San Diego Chargers

RECAP- The San Diego Chargers dethroned the defending AFC Champion Tennessee Titans 20-10 in a very dominating game. The first quarter opened and Tennessee drove the ball deep into Charger territory but QB Vince Young tried to force in a pass o Chris Johnson and was intercepted by San Diego DB Kenny Graham at the SD 7. The Chargers took over at their own 16. Ladanian Tomlinson had a 43 yard run but the drive stalled and SD punted. Scoreless first quarter. The second quarter opened with the San Diego defense stopping the Tiatans groud attack which has been hard for anyone to do lately. After a Tennessee punt, the Chargers drove the ball down the field with some nice runs by LT and the red hot arm of QB Dan Fouts. The first score of the game came on a 3 yd run by Tomlinson set up by a 27 yd pass from Fouts to Charlie Joiner. K Jim Carney missed the XP and San Diego had a 6-0 lead at the 11:32 mark of the 2nd period. The teams both went 3 and out and exchanged punts. Tennessee put together a late drive featuring a 27 yd run by Vince Young and got the ball inside the Chargers ten. San Diego then had a great goal line stand stopping George and Johnson. Rick Birones kicked a 22 yd FG to end the half. SD 6- TEN-3.

San Diego got the second half kick and put it to the Titans hard. A seven play drive was capped by Tomlinson’s second TD on a 15 yard run to make it 13-3. The first play after the kick TEN RB Chris Johnson ran left and was hit by Shawn Phillips and fumbled. DB Quinton Jammer scooped up the ball and ran 25 yds for a TD. In less than a minute of game time San Diego put up 2 TD,s and a 20-3 lead. Tennessee got their only score mid way through the 4th quarter when Steve McNair who replaced Young ran 73 yards for the Titans lone TD of the day. The 20-10 victory for San diego means they will host the AFC Championship game against the Baltimore/Houston winner.

man, sweet teams. how many you got now? i stopped counting and i wake up wondering how to store them all. i have used those plastic cabinets that hold 60 teams each, BUT since miggle came out with new 67 bigmen, when you have bases on all 11 , the drawer wont close.

great recaps. glad the chargers won, great looking LT.

I currently have 48 teams and I am going to expand 1 more time with 8 more teams. With my Legends all-time teams there are enough great players in excess plus todays stars its easy to fill up the rosters. I usually have a new expansion team in a college uniform, some modified a bit to take on a different look for the team I want. Here are my new teams and their proposed uniforms.

Boston Federals- Old Wash. Federals USFL uniform
Virginia Lancers- U of Virginia uniforms
Wichita Cyclones- U of Washington uniforms
West Virginia Cougars- U of West Virginia uniforms
Mississippi Bulls- U of South Florida uniforms
Dakota Outlaws- USFL Outlaws uniform
Tulsa Drillers- U of Tulane uniforms
Portland Sharks- USFL Jacksonville Sharks uniform
Charleston Pirates- current TB Bucs uniform ( I use the orange throwbacks for my Bucs).
