![]() the same thing today. I had to run errands, but my mind was on MF.
I was just thinking about how a points based system for making a team could help add balance among different experienced players. You could even use it to set a handicap if you wanted. When I used to play wargames with my kids I would give them like 1000+ points to my 500 to even it out. It usually worked pretty well. It often made me work harder to overcome the difference. I remember one game where I had 500 pts against two kids, each with 1000. That was crazy, but it was actually fun for all of us.

![]() i do like the balance of the complete team so you can have a good mix between offense (o-line & receivers) vs defense (linemen & safeties).
Like it a lot ![]() Benster from north of the border

![]() you I was not having fun in this system.
I am seeing Merlin Olsen put on a clinic at DT! It's rare that interior linemen can be so dominate without much help but the Fearsome Foursome are putting on a show. The Rams are thin on the back end but the front end is playing huge. In the CWD method, the Panthers have lost a LB for the season and got their starting DT lost til the 4th quarter. Up to that point, Dickerson had 13 yards on 7 carries. Now, he has about 120 yds on 15 carries (and we are midway thru the 3rd quarter). His biggest runs are coming on a Power I or dive play in the 1 or 3 hole. He just went off tackle for 29 and a score! You talk about impact on a game. When you lose a DL who weighed 6 grams and go to one that weighs 4 grams against an OL that features Slater, Harrah, Smith and Pankey (each average 6 grams), it can takes it toll on the defense. I will have to show some clips of Dickerson's runs. Reg |
