No trimming:

the Qb is an old Tudor figure, the others are Repros.

They'll finish with yellow numbers on the chest and back, and black numbers on the helmet, no shoulder numbers.

I don't know if they rocked a black stripe on the helmet or not.

Interesting. I've been toying with the idea of doing all my figures that I'll get in real old-style —back to the days of leather helmets and iron men (or at least around the 40s). It sure doesn't look as if the molded "face mask" on the Tudor/Repro heads really stands out at all, which led me to think they'd been shaved down a bit.

Default black stripe

I know they had a black stripe in down the middle of the helmet in 1950, with the two digit player number on the front of the helmet, one digit on either side of the black stripe. Not sure if this carried over to 1954 or not.
