Default Rivalry Awards

Can you imagine playing your rivalry game EVERY year and holding the "award" until your next meeting?

Here's a list of ALL the BIG TEN Rivalries and their awards.

  • Purdue-Indiana (Old Oaken Bucket)
  • Indiana-Michigan State (Old Brass Spittoon)
  • Iowa-Minnesota (Floyd of Rosedale)
  • Iowa-Wisconsin (Heartland Trophy)
  • Wisconsin-Minnesota (Paul Bunyan's Axe)
  • Michigan-Michigan State (Paul Bunyan Trophy)
  • Michigan-Minnesota (Little Brown Jug)
  • Illinois-Ohio State (Illibuck)
  • Illinois-Purdue (Purdue Cannon)
  • Penn State-Minnesota (Governor's Victory Bell)

Who will win their respective rivalries January 6th, 2007?

Default Last Year's Winner

We didn't have a trophy last year, we just threw it together, so it's a lil unclear as to who "officially" won that night. I am searching for the statsheets. I've made a few phone calls and the majority of us believe it was between my FIGHTING ILLINI and Edgar's FIGHTING IRISH. So all I can say for now is, the reigning MWEFL Electric Big Ten Champions are...........the FIGHTING I......

Default Notre Dame

Good question, Bryan, lest you jest...???

In 1999, ND was officially invited to join. The faculty senate endorsed the idea with a majority vote but the board of trustees voted against it. ND actually joined the BIG EAST CONFERENCE in all sports except men's football, lacrosse and hockey, where they remain "independent." So for the most part, as far as football is concerned, I'll allow them to play in our lil Tourney until which time they officially join a different conference.
