![]() I agree with the maximum weight allowed idea. What do the rest of you think on maximum weight? What should the maximum weight be. It is important to keep it simple. Any body want to design the box with exact sizes? I love the idea of the box.

![]() WW,
I propose a 3.8 maximum weight limit, i feel this is fair and not asking too much ! So your saying just make it 3.8 for all positions and not break it down by positions. broadway-dre ww, from what i've read just about 90% can live with 3.8. Lets put a stamp on this and move to the harder part "THE RULES" * JUST A QUICK NOTE RE RULES. PLEEEEEEEEEASE BREAK IT DOWN IN SEGMENTS SO WE ARE NOT ALL OVER THE PLACE AND JUMP OFF COURSE (THIS IS GOING WELL AND WE WILL HAVE A DEAL VERY SOON) BACK TO THE WEIGHT, Maybe when this is passed someone can post a few websites on here where to buy weight scales. Ebay is a nice option but i got mine directly from the company. (cant remember the co name). these little guy's are very handy in weighing you players at home at your conveinence as oppossed to waiting 30 min before a game worrying if your players will make weight. I've seen this up close and personal at tourney's where a coach has to scramble trying to find ways to put his players on a crash 20 min diet ! Cutting shaving removing clipping. At least weighing your guy;s at home gives you the opportunity to run drills under that weight format. Your guy's at the perfect weight and less concern on gameday. ![]() If 3.8 is the standard then let it be. As long as all figure manufacturers make that weight. I'm all for that but we need more people to respond to this post. We need Raiderman, Mike Pratt, George Diamond, Reggie. Where is A. Burgess and my man Decal Master. We can't do this with only 3 or 4 people responding.

![]() There has been somewhat of a standard in the ef community for the past few years - 3.2 grams. Both Reggie and Buzzball list this as the standard around the year 2000 on their website. Miggle figures have always been around the 3.2 gram mark max. In the last 4-5 years, heavier figures have been produced which go above the 3.2 "standard". In fact, some of the first heavy figures ever made were not even designed for electric football use - they were designed for display. Coaches starting using them because they were great poses and they gained an advantage over lighter figures.
For me, I hate to see all of the hard work from the manufacturers who spent time designing and manufacturing figures to the 3.2 "standard" go to waste. The only reason to go heavier is to gain an advantage over those figures that weigh less. I still vote to use the heavier figures, because I love some of the poses and they add to the personality of the teams. But, I think you should have to bring them down to the weight that most manufacturers have been designing to. My vote: 3.2-3.3 gram standard ![]() beenutt

![]() If we use different weights for positions how does this get enforced throughout the games? Specific numbering system like we have in the NHFL or in the real NFL?
Broadway Dre...man I LOVE YOUR ENTHUSIASM!! Hang in there. We will get to rules shortly but I want more input on what we have so far. It is imporatnt to me that a number of people weigh in on this or it will die shortly after we put it in place. It is also important that we include influences from all the hotbeds of EF. Florida, California, Detroit, Washington DC, Texas, Minneapolis, Pennsylvania and the many others that are out there that I did not list. Maybe they are posting and I'm just unfamiliar with the locations of the posters. If more people do not get involved in the discussion then what we are trying to do will go no where. Every voice is important if you are a newbie or a veteran.

![]() Hey Wolf. I'm from PA. Western PA. as a matter of fact. I have been thinking about this weight thing and why do we have to have a weight limit. I mean get some figures, paint them or buy them already painted and play. Are there actually people out there that would purposely weigh a team down just to win at a childs game! If thats the case then count me out. Just for my peice of mind what does weight do to a figure? Make it stronger. I thought we tweaked a base for that. Do we try and simulate real football? Do we weigh them down to make positions such as lineman more realistic? Please educate! I have never played in a tournament so all this doesn't make sense.
