Default Decals

Does anyone make there own decals?
If so what kind of printer do you use. I use a inkjet and it is getting frustrating, the ink smeers when I put on the coating.
I have been reading that Laser printers you dont need to coat. Is this true?

Chris,

I've fooled around with making my own. I use a HP inkjet printer and inkjet decal paper. With good results... after some big mess ups.

Check out this link http://www.bare-metal.com/Experts-Ch...ecal-Film.html

The Microscale products are excellent

You have to spray the decal sheet with Bonder for the ink to "bond" with the decal paper so it won't smear.

Testors makes and sells spray Decal Bonder that you can find in most Hobby Stores.

Default Thanks Wally

Well, that is what I am doing now, but its getting a bit tiresome. I think I will just buy a laser printer. The ink sticks to the decal paper better when its a laser jet printer. So, once I get one I am off to the races. Decals for everyone sntht$

Default Decal Bonder

That is what I use. I have even given the ink 2 days to dry, but every once and a while the ink will run a bit.
