Default Gators -

Hey Norbert - those Gators look great as is and look ready to face Michigan in the Capital One Bowl !

The quick answer is ....yeah, kind of on the late side (especially with the gloss applied)......however, things like this always present an interesting challenge. The Gators would just need some time in the equipment room, and the length of time needed depends on the ultimate look that you are looking for.

For example, as a number of painters, I like painting teams as a team would get dressed - helmet over head, jersey over skin..etc, and for that reason the skin is the first thing applied.

So, that being the case....I'd re-do the helmets....and with the sanding that I'd do because of the already applied gloss - there's also the chance of re-doing the jersey....especially if the jerseys have name decals.

This is just my opinion however - - I tend to "do-over" to get the look I'm seeking.

Naturally - with the work involved, an option would be do keep this nice-looking squad - and do another with necklines.

Use a very small brush! If you want, send them with my bases and I'll fix them up for you and bring them to Detroit!

Default It Takes...

...A STEADY HAND! ZZZZZZZZZZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!

Remember the game OPERATION? I saw a Spider-Man version in Toys-R-Us a while ago. I also think there is a Shrek version too!?!

As much of a perfectionist as I am, I would leave 'em alone. My ILLINOIS squad doesn't have necks, but that's prolly accurate for any Big Ten or Big 12 team! GATORS / SEC / ACC prolly should have necks.

If GUTTMAN says he can do it, then you could too. Use a small brush to do the back and sides and just barely get under the facemasks - we can't see that area anyway. Then you'll prolly have to clean up the jersey and then the helmet. Should be a 1-2-3 step process and then re-seal it. Good Luck.
