![]() I played 7 games in the LAEFL, and I was NOT convinced that boilers were any stronger or faster than highly tweaked bases of the same weight. In fact, in trying to tweak bases to be as strong as boilers I (A) improved my own personal skills and (B) began to use less boilers so that my team would be able to compete elsewhere.
I think as long as the weight limit is the same for both teams, it would then come down to coaching, and boiling becomes a non-issue. I liked our rule out on the Left Coast: "3.3 is 3.3!" Chuck, I wouldn't write a check that Norbert, Ken and Big Jim can't cash! Personally seeing ALL 4 aforementioned coaches play, my money's on RJ's 4.0 squad. In fact, I got $5 on it. ![]() ![]() DISCLAIMER: Above is an attempt to collect a debt that Mr. Chuck Lawrence incurred on behalf of one Mr. Norbert Revels, one Mr. Ken Allen, and one Mr. Jim Davis. As sole instigator to the offended, Mr. Robert "RJ" Jackson, it is in the best interest of this hobby to schedule and play this game in the very near future, in order to settle the debate: "Which is better: 3.2 or 4.0? And Why?" The winner will have bragging rights for up to 364 days within such timeframe he, the winner, must defend his title. |

![]() Well shoot... even the NHFL went to 3.3...
Mainly cuz even some of Miggles standard TTC's that have been around forever can come in at over 1.2 (w/ a 2.0 figure)... I think we're at 3.3 in the Tornado Alley.. The thing is.. I wouldn't necessarily call 3.2 to 4.0 "progress"... It's just a different way to play.. Which equals more options.. and options are a good thing.. I enjoyed the 3.2 NHFL/Tornado Alley.. the 3.3 Tornado Alley.. and I'm looking forward to getting BACK into the groove of things and planting my arse in Dallas/Ft. Worth for a shootout and a team tipping the scales at 4.0.. ![]() |

![]() I'm a great Lakes coach who plays mostly at 3.0 to 3.1. However, I think with the change in the base weights the rule could be tweaked to 3.3 since most bases from miggle out the bag are 1.3 but i'ts no biggie on the weights. I know we have two leagues in the Detroit area and they most likely will stay at 3.2 mostly because we use a lot of buzzball and haiti repos but primarly because our in house customizers can create any figure to meet these weights. With that being said I'm sure many of the coaches wouldn't have an issue with creating tournament teams to meet 4.0. Heck I'm like Mr. Rutledge I just like to play. We REALLY like Mr. Rutledge figures so I'm sure we will come up with something to bring them into the Michigan/Ohio/Indiana/Illinois electric football experience.

Coach, you know I've got much love for you. Always been a supporter. I remember a day in Detroit when FF.COM figures were taboo. Jim Davis was the first person EVER to spend out on FF.COM players so I will always support what my boy do. Then it was guys like you who would buy some here, some there and I would send extra things to you. I thank guys like you who have supported my efforts over the years. I know I have been more like the "black sheep" in the game of miniature football but I hope the tenacity and spirit that I have shown will continue to be appreciated by those who are patrons of what I do. Guys like yourself, I am truly appreciative of because I never had cheerleaders behind me. All I ever asked was give me and my product a chance. I work tireless for the game of miniature football and a guy/company with lesser will to succeed probably would have left the game years ago for greener pastures. I just want to thank you for the little things that you've done that you may never have known you did. I some day hope to meet you and give you a big handshake and hug as I know we are brothers. Thanks Coach! Reg |

![]() Jimbo I will take that bet.The brawl or somewhere will be fine. You do talk alot of smack about Great Lakes members talent and the talent has increased since you played in years past. You are very talented person to but a few guys can tweak strength and speed alot better than others.Look at the buying forum.I do think you can tweak a 3.2 team to be stronger than a 4.0.As for how well they run I am getting ready to do a FF team in michigan so we will see.I cant wait to get them done.
As others have stated even with the miggle ttc going up in weight you kinda have to go up to 3.3.

![]() But remember, and it is true, you saw all play, but what you saw was tournament teams, which is based on more speed (ATT), League teams, (smile) I think are alittle different.
P.S. I think this would be fun, we can do this at Miggle, it would have to be friday night though, I would like to take my shot at him 1st. Norbert Revels Thee,.....32 Counter Trap,......even if they stack,.......with Thor at FB.
