Default Nice pictures, looks like everyone had a great time, 'cept for the sleepy guys

I have an observation and a question:

Observation: Looks like the Rose Bowl gameboard is REALLY small. That would have really disappointed me to see the great coaches there have to contend with what amounts to be an arena-size scale gameboard.

Question: Is Guttman playing at a Miggle convention with a team made up of some Buzzball figures. And he's a Miggle moderator? Mike! For shame!

Thanks for sharing Corey

Hmm.. When I first read the question.. I thought .. No freakin way they'd let him play with non-Miggle figures... but.. upon further inspection...
those sure don't look like Miggle figures to me either.. And if they are.. when can we get em?

Default Those pics of Guttmann

playing are from the after hour games. You can only use Miggle stuff in the tourney. But after the lights go down, and all the staff go away, it's time for the big boys to play.

They keep the big conference room open for free play. This is usually when the Green Room Rumble goes down, but we again had no boards. Well not enough boards. There were over 35 coaches in the big room just hanging out.

There were games going on everywhere. In the big room, in coaches rooms. There were a couple of MegaWatts boards. The GLEFL played 2 playoff games over the weekend, both games were played on a Bruce field. Mrs. Landsman came over to ask where did that board come from. Bruce was right there............................. They started talking. I don't know what was said, but maybe, just maybe they can get Bruce to work on a large size board for them???????????????

Default Criminals I Tell Ya!!!!

A friendly game my petunia!!! Guttman suckered me into a "friendly game" only to discover those criminals had kidnapped my Center, Jay Hilgenberg. I played all day Saturday with "Mongo" playing Center AND Nose Tackle!!! Then he miraculously appeared out of thin air in my box during the Elimination Rounds!?! <<< Never gonna let Gutt live this down!

Seriously though, that night, even playing against Gutt's All-Buzzball team, is when I realized how much of a "disadvantage" those 67 Big Men BEARS could be if I didn't play them right. The lil guys can get under them, and if you ever played real ball, you prolly know the "low man wins!" Sure the base has a lot to do with it, but if you don't coach those bases right, those lil guys will get you. So instead of Power-Blocking against them I had to Zone Block, meaning I didn't just try to push the opposing Defense downfield which I could have, but I had to crack them hard and fast and influence them out of the hole I wanted to run in. I'd say I was 99% efffective. Ask anybody there, had Greg flashed the crap off of his RDE's TTC shell, Sweetness woulda broke his heart 3x's and McMahon 1x. Ya know the saying, "By the skin of your teeth!" That was literally by the "flash of his base!" Close but no cigar. Next event BEWARE of The Monsters of the Midway!!!

The above commentary was not intended to take one iota of respect or congratulations away from ANYONE I had the pleasure of sitting across the field from. The ONLY intent was to share that "crutching" on heavier men without properly accounting for all of the possible countermeasures out there would not only be incorrect but could possibly cause incontinence, nausea and sometimes loss of hair by scratching your head too often.

True... Knee bender vs Back bender... coaches love the knee bender, jus cause you lower your center of gravity.

Default That whole wardrobe think is over blown!!!

I had 2 outfits that I never got a chance to wear, so I couldn't have changed that much!
I had 3 suitcases. One was full of my teams, which was my carry on. Jim Davis took us out Friday night, after the dinner. We went to a great sports bar on Sat. And I went to the Mall on Sunday.

I packed:

2 pair of B-ball shorts
1 pair of sweat pants
1 pair of denim shorts
2 pair of cargo camo pants
4 pair of jeans
3 football jerseys
MFCA T-shirt
3 or 5 shirts or tops to complete the outfits
1 49ers visor
1 skully cap
1 camo bucket hat
1 fur jacket
1 pair of Tims
1 pair Clark's wallabee's
1 pair of Nike air max flip flops
1 pair of Versace sunglasses
1 pair of Dior sunglasses
1 Breitling bentley wristwatch
1 Gucci belt (black)
1 brown burberry belt
1 psp with 3 games
1 80 gb ipod

So there ya go Wally, I didn't pack that much. Remember I got there on Thursday, and didn't leave until Monday! So I was packing light for so many days. I use to get charged extra because my suitcase was always over the allowed limit of 50lbs.
