Default Its really cool to see Acceptance in EF/MF

it is a real blessing that Acceptance is finally begun to get a strong foothold in EF/MF. I never really look at myself as a Veteran, there are so many names much greater than mine that wear that tag proudly, It is a Blessing to you newer coaches that information is abundant. It will make your journey through the hobby easier. So many of my good friends in the hobby are here and all have a nuggets of MF to share. I spoke with Mike Pratt the other day. God keep u well my friend. Mike,Don,Reg,Coach J all of them reached out to me from my enthusiasm to learn what this hobby is. New Coaches immerse yourselves in the hobby soak up all the information you can. Save the posts from the boards D load them so you can always go back. Put things on paper! like playbooks and tweak tips these are excellent ways to promote leauges
and EF/MF related things. Get DvDs tapes of Game play and how to instructional types Its like EF School at home.
Find your thing and Hone your skills.
Keep an open Mind. one of my ways is that if I like something Im not afraid to say that I like this or that but sometime that fowardness lead to some heated topics and opinions on the older boards. Thank God somehow the hobby always survived when things get tense. It is a good thing that you see the Hobby on a whole. That way you can really appreciate it.
And accept. Accept that EF/MF is a jouney an everchanging one. Enjoy it.

I remember you from the Miggle board Biglock, welcome back. That's good advice, when I returned to the hobby three years ago, I was overwhelmed with the info that was out there, the volume of it was amazing. Back in the day in the Miggle forum, if you had a question all you had to do was search and most likely it had been asked and answered multiple times again, the same with this board.

A great source for info, these forums are for the newbie or returning coach. I stayed up late and read posts and printed them out, spending hours and hours on the weekend on Miggle's site. I still have a thick three ring binder with everything I printed in it. I sorted them by topic and you know when I read a good idea or post, to this day I print it out and add to my binder.

There are instructional DVD's that also speed the learning process up two fold, you need to see some things instead of reading about them for quicker learning.

Default Outstanding post Biglock

I can honestly say that I have learned soo much from this forum and it was just one year ago that I discovered that this hobby was still alive, and better than ever. I have had the absolute pleasure in having you all as a second family, and I can truely say that I have never had soo much fun. I feel extra blessed to be a part of the league in Columbus Oh for too many reasons to mention. All I can say to anybody out there that is just starting out is exactly what Biglock was saying. Soak up all the info you can and ask as many questions as you can. I also highly suggest getting the coaches D.V.D by Smitty and Tron. It is absolutely a great learning tool and make sure you get both of them because it taught me many things. Well well worth the money. It is a great time to be in this hobby with all the inovations on the horizon. Thanks to all of you who have opened your door to share your knowledge. I'd be here all day if I were to name names.

Default Brotherly love

I've only been reintroduced to MF 1 month ago. With information that i recieved through this site, i have been able to nearly triple the strength of my old bases. I've recieved incouragement, help, advice, favors, people making sacrifices for me, just because they can understand, because we share the same love, and passion for a hobby that is often riddiculed and made fun of. Its like an AA sponshorship or something, you are not alone, you are not crazy, or weird or corny, your a MFer, one amongst many, united by one common bond, Brothers of the Board!
