Another thing that would be nice is a timer switch for the multi stop play methods. In Jimbo's big ten shootout tournament we played "timed" pass rushes based on a pre-play decision by the offense. It would have been great to have the on/off switch connected with a timer that could be accurate up to 1/4 of a second.

Anyone playing multi-stop play have anything like this? Have any of the guys playing in the MPFL might have inquired about this kind of a switch.

Joe

I have a LCD Dell 21" computer screen that may fit the bill. I dont know how you can program a computer to show time or score but I'm sure you can hook up a recorder to it for replays.

Default What Do you think ?

I was thinking, if every person who plays this game were to put there name and signature on a statment of sorts requesting a scoreboard for our hobby, and pass it on to the right people then maybe we can get it done. We have I'm sure over one thousand coaches who would want one.

The Scoreboard could be done in your teams logo. name of the teams, down, yards to go, ball on, time outs, qtr, game time, who has the ball.

And can be operated by a remote. I think that the price should be between $300.00 - $600.00 . Now I know that may sound like a lot, but the quality of it is well worth it !

If we all get on the same page and not try to take over this idea then I know we can find some company who will do this.

So who is down for this ?

Let me look into it. We have a programmed scoreboard that we use for Subbuteo. Let me see if I:

A) Can find a copy of it
B) Get permission to distribute it to the EF masses.

And ... here ya go.

http://web.mac.com/bristers/iWeb/Sit...ard%202.2.html

You can download the file there. Get it extracted, and you are good. Open the program, and you can edit the scoreboard text and such however you like. He has versions for Windows and Mac. If you have a computer screen anywhere near your field, you're good.

What we do in Subbuteo is hook it up to a projector and put it big up on a wall.

Default Kudos!

Hey Roo,

You da man. I'm still in the process of downloading this beast (dial-up), but am looking forward to playing with it and seeing what it can do. Based on what the web site has to say, it looks extremely promising. Thanks for sharing that with everyone . . . big time.
