Default Agreed,

K-Lo,

Yes, when you go for quantity, ............it is nothing but headaches, which a league will end up with no shows, drama, etc., .........

I'd rather have four dedicated coaches, than 12 who are in it and not really committed, ...............the guys from the Beltsville area are very impressive as they travel everywhere to play.

Default I won't try to sway them...bump em I'll take the elite few

I'm just not willing to go through it to get some one to join or proove EF/MF as a viable hobby. For example, there are new people who come to this board making demands on us, asking questions, and showing a seemingly genuine interest in the hobby, but when asked if they would like to come to fellowship and actually share EF/MF tweaking, coaching, and just general EF/MF stuff, they come with excuses, and smug attitudes on reasons why they can't show up. Out here in Cali, people come from as far away as S.D., Den., and Vegas to participate in leagues and such. This is the person that I would not want to waiste my time on trying to recruit, because I don't think his type is serious about participating in the hobby on this level, I think he is interested in D & D, and modern day pen pals, and that is not me. I don't do D & D, and in my opinion pen pals are for primary school children and the elderly.

Grandmaster KC you can get @ me # 323/290-3434

Default Totally Agree

Which is why I usually don't respond to the same new questions every newbie has, ..........I expect them to do what I did, .................if one is truely interested, .............................. one WILL do the research, use the search feature and read, read , read, ...................that's the way I learned, .........I then talked with some folks via email and the phone, .............2/3 weeks later I drove three hours to meet Mike Pratt. That's what I was willing to do to get started..............

Jimbo caught some flack for his postings about new guys use the search, .......... and he is right, ...........sometimes the truth may not be politically correct, ......... but it needs to be said...........

D & D, as in Dungeons and Dragons? Rolling on the floor dying of laughter, that is too much.
