Why is there somewhat of a cult mentality accross the united states when it comes to the dallas cowboy's. It seems that in every state, half of them are cowboy fans.

I'll never be angry with Jackie...he helped build the Steeler Dynasty...(no offense intended to Cowboys fans out there...you guys owned the 90's so I feel there was some justice for you!)

I rooted against the cowboys and steelers in the 70s.
But, I rooted for the Steelers when they played the Cowboys.

they are silver and blue-
they have a star emblum that represents America to most people-
they have been successful on the field for a number of years-
the helmet is a clean and perfect and even in design-

and yet, they let superstition reign in their history by avoiding wearing the blue jersey- strange tradition

SINCE THE 3RD GRADE WHEN MY FRIEND ASKED ME WHAT TEAM I LIKED FROM THE NFL LUNCH BOX. I DIDNT KNOW, SO I POINTED TO "THE STARS" (i guess identifying with the STAR like someone above just mentioned) THEY WENT ON TO BEAT DENVER, AND THATS WHEN I LEARNED THEIR REAL NAME. DIE HARD EVER SINCE.

who truly love every team equally. Love the rich history of the Cowboys. Market sales traditionally tell us that in merchandising, the Cowboys are among the Top 2 nearly every year so there must be something to it, whether we like it or not.

No offense Dre but... Unfortunately for the Texans the best they can be is a distant 3rd in a two horse race. They haven't played enough quality football to be given the second spot which is still occupied by the Oilers.

Yes and No. Yes...because he was Tom Landry and at the time, the ONLY coach the Cowboys ever had. No... because if he were any other coach would anybody really care? As far as I'm concerned Jimmy Johnson was done wrong as well, but it doesn't receive the same attention.

I loved Michael's skillz and fearlessness, but #88 belongs to Drew Pearson.
