Default Definitely Jay is a Pioneer

Jay and I always use to talk about Dirk. That's who he admire. But Jay was definitely in a class (and still is) by himself.

I love being around Jay because he is as unselfish of a person and customizer that there is. He sees something special in what others may think is junk.

If it was not for Jay, I probably would have stopped customizing because we'd talk a lot about ideas. He had great ideas and was always willing to share.

Guys will get a chance to see Jay at the SWB and I hope they don't take it for granted. Craftsmen like him are few and far between.

Default Another thing...

Jayboy liked all the figures made by the different manufacturers. He liked Buzzball, haiti repros, FF.com and E-Gridiron. If you guys didn't do such a good job making them... he might not have been able to reconfigure them.

Default memories...

Don,

I think the thing I remember most is seeing Pat, ............................maybe because he is sooo BIG! so if I left out you and Jayboy I apologize....

I know Jay was always doing something, but I remember Pat coming up to me and showing this and that, ............

And I also remember being worried about unveiling the BuzzBall MAG 7, .............that guys wouldn't like the figures because of the seams around the arms...................but what I thought would be a negative turned out to be a huge positive and one can EASILY make 1000's of different poses without the use of heat, but, just by switching arms and gently bending them or moving the same arms up or down,......and give the figures a completely different look, ..............see the youtube video......... Folks, arrive early to BuzzFest Friday and I'll try to show you some things.......

back to the unveiling, .........they liked them !,.......................but many guys wouldn't allow them in their leagues because of one reason or another, even though they were in line with the existing standards that tudor had established..........and they blend beautifully with the teams of the past!

For the longest time many considered them "custom" figures, .......... but they are not custom because they are mass produced.

Some guys expected me to come to their tournaments, but BuzzBall Figures were not allowed, ........ No, .......... I dont' think so

But now, ...................years and tears later, ..........I'm happy that BuzzBall figures and the classic repros are a mainstay of many teams across the country.

Cool Poppin plastic...

Rip,

Jay had switched arms and applied heat to raise and lower appendages on just a handful of figures. It was Patrick who went hog-wild poppin arms off dozens of Mag-7's mixing and matching pieces left and right then glueing them back on the sockets. Pat was smiling ear-to-ear, like a kid in a candy store that weekend. It's something I'll never forget.

Default BB High quality....

Coach Rip has provided high quality figs and equipment for a number of years.
Today you can't really field a competative team without some of these players!!!

Coach, any truth the the "rumor" or a reverse Mr. Everything?
