I love what you put up there. I just printed it out along with weirdwolf's idea. This also is a great set up for playing solitaire. I would love to hear you and wolf criss cross your idea's. you guy;s are more detailed on this stuff than i am.

Not much to combine. 2 Base-lengths is the same as ALWAYS using the shortest stick. That would DEFINITELY speed the game up, but it's always the same distance and eventually the D will sit within that range and it becomes "Pick City!"

There are 2 different POVs to consider - Competitive / Tournament or Solitaire / Casual FUN!!! The dice provide the variable needed for Competitive / Tourneys and the quick, fast short stick solves the latter. No way is wrong, I think they just fit in different scenarios.
