Default More Weight Questions

There has been a lot of talk lately about a weight standard, those who are against 4.0, I would like to hear specific reasons why.

Leave Reg, the LAEFL and the Shootout rules out of this, just tell me why you are opposed to playing your rules set at 4.0.

Can I get some feedback on this please?

Default About the 4.0

I'll chime in. Let me preface by saying I like a 4.0 system.

First, I don't believe you'll find anyone vehemently against a 4.0 system. It is another way to play the game. The item of difficulty coaches have is three-fold:

1. Most figures do not come out of the pack with a base weighing 4.0, so they have to be altered. There are some coaches who have a problem with adding weight to a figure.

2. The coaches who are not too hip on rule 1 require a scale to get this right. A scale costs extra $$$. It may take extra work. So, no go on that.

3. The game system is different, and there are some coaches who are, I hate to say, resistant to trying new ways to play.

But just like all other items we have adopted into the hobby, keep marketing and working for the people who want to contribute. The world won't change overnight, but every little thing can make a difference.

I am only half against a 4.0 system. I believe ONLY linemen should be at this maximum weight. Everyone else should be slightly less, say 3.6.

We use bigger boards which require stronger motors which would knock over lower weighted players. The heavier weight is necessary.

That is what our next pro season is going to be.

OK, I can relate to that. As I prep my Clemson squad for the college series, I have my linemen weighing in right at 4.0, but I have my backs and receivers coming in between 3.7-3.9, this is I find is a weight range at which I like the way the perform best at.

Default 4.0

TRUE THAT TRUE THAT LARGER BOARDS REQUIRE STRONGER MOTORS TO POWER. THE RANGE SHOULD BE 3.3 TO 4.0, CLYDESDALES FOR OFFESE 4.0 AND MEDIVAL JOUSTERS ON DEFENCE 3.5 TO 4.0,REMEMBER AT A HIGH SPEED GAME TONAGE CAN IMPEDE PERFORMANCE. YOU WANT LIPOZON AND ARABIAN CHARGERS FOR RECIEVERS AND FLANKERS,YA BACKFIELD(MONGOL R SOUIX PONIES (MUSTANGS) SWIFT,STRONG, AND ELUSIVE (SEE LAEFL DVD) A HIGH PERFORMANCE GAME IS A BACK DOING 100YDS 4sec AND UNDER!
