There is a huge difference in performance. They run more stable...and can be tweaked for speed. I have a running back on a widetop TTC and he is plenty fast....and because of the TTC base, his path is pretty unpredictable...unless you are looking for the giveaway prongs and lean. I don't have a pic of the base, but very little of the dial is showing when viewed from above when compared with regular bases. The widetops don't seem to be great for strength...but it sure is nice to have a fast, stable platform! Heavier figures and figures that aren't well balanced do better on these bases.

Although the widetops have more stability, they won't solve all balance issues. I recommend adding weight using that blue putty under the base to solve those problems....

Also, the Proline rookie base/strong is a VERY stable platform, but only the first run sets were good....have to wait for new ones, or get some old ones for mucho $. I think the new "TTC" bases Buzzball put out are very stable...and good quality....but the dial is just silly, you have very little turning ability....if at all....but they are an excellent quality "rookie style" base. The prongs in all these bases are at the corners and give great stability...and the plastic is good quality for tweaking!

Default Fun Tack putty

I agree. Am using that on some of mine - place far back to counter the weight imbalance.

Default Running Smooth

The Wide Tops Run Very Smooth & True I Like Them A lot!!.The Buzzball Looks Like A Dial But I Cant Get It To Turn,The Proline Prongs Are Hard I'm Going To Keep Them I'v Already Paid $5.50 For Shipping It Would Take Another $1.00 To Send Back I Paid $6.00 For Them,Buzzball Is Better Than Proline Right Now.
