Default 2007: MPFL to Host First Ever (EF) Fantasy League

2007: MPFL to Host First Ever (EF) Fantasy League

In an effort to make the MPF League (MPFL) the finest miniature football league in the United States, the Commissioner has agreed to host the first ever National Fantasy Football League where players will sign up, be grouped into divisions, and ….well…leave the running, passing, and scoring to the players.

We want to bring you the very best of everything. And due to the popularity of Fantasy Football over the last several years, the time has come to incorporate this into the MPFL.

Our league will feature realistic rushing / receiving stats due to the style of play and following our 10-12 team league formats, there is a pool of over 300 total players.

It is possible then to imagine a fantasy league that operates exactly as they do in the “real” world. Arrangements for registration, drafting, and competition will be managed on the www.mpflfootball.com league website. Registration will be 100% free.

This is a pre-release buzz and more information will be announced on both (www.miggle.com) (www.miniaturefootball.com/forum) EF hobby chat boards.

Please write in and let us know if you’d be interested in participating in this aspect of our game / league system. (Hint: Tiki Barber is coming back to NYG for one last season).

I’d love to know what you all think of my idea. When AB and I team up, expect nothing short of the very best.

Any thoughts?

I'm a huge fan of Fantasy Sports and this sounds like a great idea. I'd be interested in hearing more about it.

Default Same idea.

Hi Decal Master,

It is like you are reading my mind or something. We are also putting together a EF fantasy league, for our up coming Electric Football League.

We have the rules for this fantasy league in our heads right now. We still need to put this up on our new web site we are putting together, for our up coming Electric Football Club. http://www.efclub.org/

We also feel this is a good idea. Because this will help bring together other EF coaches that can not play in our league. Due to living to far away or other reasons.

Looking forward on seeing how your league and our league puts this together. Yes, this will be something new to EF. We are not sure how well it will work out.

On our end, we are going to keep the rules simple. Because it is something new and we do not want to make it to confusing to people.

Decal master, keep up the great work you are doing on this forum page and your upcoming web site. We both seem to have the same ideas for this EF hobby.

Mich,

Your site is cool man. I see we are on the same page. Well, this means that I cannot take credit for creating an EF fantasy league since you've done it first.

I am going to work today on drafting up a point system and internet drafting system. Hopefully it will work.

Thank you for the love Mich. PM me or holla any time.

Default It is NOT about credit

Hi Decal master,

My reply was not about taking any credit at all. It was about showing you that we are also doing the same thing, at the same time. It does not matter who puts it up first or not. As long as no one says you copied me. I do not want to hear that at all. This would be wrong.

What your league and our league are doing, is something new to EF and we feel it can be great thing to bring EF coaches together from all over. It is all good in my eyes.

I am happy to see someone else is think the same way we are. This will give the EF comunity more things to look at about EF.

I am looking forward on how you guys will put your Fantasy league together and your web site too.

Maybe our idea about a fantasy league will catch on with the other EF leagues out there. Then we will see a fanatasy league on all the leagues out there. So far two EF leagues out there will have a fantasy league in their EF league. Will there be more?

Maybe even see it in the solitare leagues too. This would get more people to follow those solitare leagues more.

Keep up the great work.

Sincerely,
Tony Johnson / Michigan

This is great guys.

I am writing up the last of the rules and point system at this very moment. Another hour...a sign off from AB, a revision or two, and we are in business.
