![]() I always put a coat of clear coat on after painting and before I apply the decals. I apply another coat of clear coat after the decals are applied.

![]() So, nothing I put on before the decal will hurt the acrylic paint?

![]() Beenut,
I had the same question, as I have started painting with acrylics and have learned to love them, but the decal paper shows through if you just put it onto the flat acrylic paint. So...should I spray paint a clear coat on them one before the decals, then again after? Won't they build up and look goofy? Let me know what works as you are in my opinion the best decal man in the business!!! Mark |

![]() spray a coat of matte spray over acrylics before applying any decals. The moisture from the decal can erode the acrylic paint. As a matter of fact, I spray a light coat after each stage just to preserve my work. You'd be amazed at what blemishes can appear, even without touching the figures.

![]() DallCow,
Thanks, but don't all those coats bulk up the players too much? I want all these teams I am doing for my son to look great (1966 NFL Season)! Thanks, Mark |
