Hello Again Coaches,
I have had this thread up a couple of days now and here are the results of this questions. Quite honestly I was not surprized that the LB's and Safetys were found to be the most difficult to develope, here are the results, listed most difficult to least difficult:

LB's = 31%
DB's = 31%
RB's = 13%
WR's = 13%
Kickers = 13%

Very interesting and thanks to all coaches who participated and responded.

RD? Is that Texas or Raidernation addition? Comes up to 101% Ill let u slide on that one as long as its not when you are trying to add up your score. But that shouldn't be too hard when you are stuck on ZERO!!!

Oh and BTW, I just rounded those numbers up. I didn't want to confuse some of "You" coaches with all the decimals.

The Raider Nation always gives more than 100%. Should be many games this season that the Raiders put a 5 or 6 in front of that zero. As many teams will be down by 30 or more at the half. It's just a question of how many points WE want to score on YOU.Name: raiders.nation.gif

This is the ultimate position in minature football and when you get a great one you will know it. You will know it because if you run the board for an extended time after the initial play you will have to pick this RB up off the opposite end of the board, almost without fail. Right now I have two of these, my Mike Hart proline (rounded) strong rookie and my other one is my Reggie Bush on a black diamond rookie base. They are heads and shoulders above my other running backs because of this north/south running ability that I am referring too. I wish I new the secret recipe for this but I don't so right now I rely on trial and error of many bases for RB, when they don't cut it then I start using this base at other positions.

I find that making RB is easy for me...I can get some great ones that run my offensive teams with no problem. The base that gets the RB label has to have the same type of qualities each time - Power, bounce, smooth glide, vision, quickness over pure speed.

out of these items, bounce is the most functional because if your back can bounce to the left or right of the block being thrown in front, additional yds will be there.

Saftey play is based from your defensive scheme you use. choose the right type of players to handle your defense, but you cannot find that players for that type of defense, adjust to a scheme that it will work. Nowadays with the use of 'advance pivots', the deep safety position has been changed. These players were just the last line of defense and was needed to rundown WR after the catch.
Before that, they were used to be the "deterent" to the stick pass.... they could cover more ground than a WR or CB...speed was it's main feature....

LB are hard but they too need to spring from your scheme/style

OLB aka Loopers/swoopers ... everyone want them and they are used to be the 'free man' on defense...the faster they get to the QB the better.... you still have to learn how to defend when these 2 players are neutralized... speed here kills.....
