My Problem WIth Whites

So I've been getting some figures lately, and I've noticed that the new ones (teams made within the last 10 years or so) their whites look horrible. You can kind of see through them. But on the figures from the 80's, some have nice dark whites.

My question is, does anyone know the pattern to the whites that produced on teams? Is it random, where they painted back in the day, is Hong Kong or China good or bad?

Any tips you might have would be great. When I buy them from Miggle or Ebay, it's so hard to tell if I'm going to get a nice solid white color, without having to repaint them.

Is that they always tryin' to keep a brotha' down. I mean 400 years... Oops, wrong website.

Not sure what they are doing over in China.. But from what I understand in the United States.

Our bases were made from clear plastic, and the color we wanted is accomplished simply by adding a colored plastic pellet, made specifically to add color.. White included. Perhaps the plastic injection company in China isn't adding enough pellets.

Or they may be producing them with recycled plastic.

You are right about the adding of color to the plastic, so is it just a crap shoot when you buy already hand painted figures. (like the ones that are for sale on the miggle site.)

I'm just sick of buying hand painted figures where the whites look clear!!

Hey people champ I complety agree with you about whiteys. There good for nothin and I hate everyone of them. Oh wait. I'm white. well this is embarrising.
