That's Rick Upchurch. That man was awesome. I love hearing those kind of stories. He was really awesome.
I really can't say who was the best I played against, but I know Derrick Thomas,Renaldo Turnbull, and Daniel Stubbs were really great def. ends I had to take on.

Default More than one

I have more than one so here a list in order.
1. Adrian Baxter
2. Will Travers
3. Brian Healy
4. Rene' "Smitty" Smith
5. Sean "Tron" Carter
6. Ed "Roo" Morgans

Five out of the six I face twice in league play each year. And this year I think I face Adrian and Will back to back.

Default Remember . . .

When I was in 8th grade I was waterboy for the varsity team. I was a QB/WR/DB on my junior high team. Across the field , a guy named Phil Ford was playing tailback. Oh what memories !

Well it is in the Miniature Football zone, so it's a perfectly reasonable answer to talk about MF.

I never played football - but in basketball, Grant Hill dunked on me in the 8th grade.

Default Best Player Against

I only played football through 7th grade so no one there.

I was a big golfer and won our Waukesha (WI) county tournaments at age 12 and 13. Finally decided to play in a state junior tournament to see where I stacked up.

I got done with my round at the Junior Masters in Racine, WI and I shot an 84. I was pretty happy with that until I looked up at the leaderboard and saw that I was 16 strokes behind. A kid named Steve Stricker carded a 68!!! Any hopes I ever had at becoming a pro golfer were dashed at that one moment!!!

Stricker used to be in our regionals and sectionals and was quite the golfer. Our team was better than his (as he was from a very small town). Jerry Kelly was on the Madison team that won state my senior year. We were 3rd after the first day.

Two other PGA golfers (Skip Kendell and JP Hayes) were also guys who were within 1 year of each other and regulars on the state junior circuit.
