Default What's the deal with New York?

I'm not much of a college fan, but something just occured to me. Where's the New York universities? The largest city in our country, and I couldn't even tell you what school is there. LA has UCLA and USC, Houston has Houston, San Diego State, San Jose State, U of Miami, etc. I know that in the state of New York there's Buffalo and maybe Syracuse???? But what is in New York city?? Over 19 million people in the metro area and they can't even have a college with their name. Just seems a little odd to me.

There is New York University, but they are a liberal arts university. They don't have sports there.

Default Syracuse and Buffalo

As far as Division I football goes, Syracuse is the big one.

The new movie on Syracuse Alumni Ernie Davis is coming out soon. Also SU includes X-NFLers Jim Brown, Art Monk, Joe Morris, Floyd Little, and Larry Csonka. Not to mention, Marvin Harrison and Donovan McNab.

Sometimes it's about quality, not quantity.

Hofstra University located on Long Island is about a 20 minute ride into NYC. They've produced a few NFLers.
