GOOD POST. I have never played competatively except when I was a kid. This year however my nephews and I joined the NHFL. I am sure I will loose with dignity. Because of my job I have to be in jurisdiction except for vacation days and those are spent with the wife. So, the Steel Valley Division have agreed to come to New Castle and play our games. When you guys do come to my house we will feast on the best Italian quisine and . I am planning a menu like none has ever seen before. Beer fried meatballs, anti-pasta salad, tomatoe salad and maybe even some spaghetti with tomatoe gravy (sauce) and homemade pizza. I AM LOOKING FOREWARD TO THIS SEASON.

Wow! And, of course OMG!!!!!!!!! This may well be the most thought-provoking and even the best post what's ever been slapped up on a chatboard! This puppy cuts to the chase and hits home big time! What an unbelievable set o' killer Q's! BRILLIANT! I now bow down to the "Post Master" (take that however you want! LOL!)
Ask yourself what is the ONE main reason you play this game. Well, since you said ONE (I do have MANY) I will have to admit that I just flat out love it! If you were to attend an event and found yourself up against the coach you would least like to lose a game against (for whatever reason you may have) how would you handle that loss if you got absolutely run over? There is no such coach out there. I'll be more than happy to lose to anyone, thank you very much! Just ask any former member of the HEFL. I was a "happy doormat"! LOL! Besides, I could always play myself in solitaire later and lose again! LOL! ROFL! How would you handle yourself if you won that game? Now that's a heavy question and it deserves a heavy answer. I would immediately straighten up my life in all areas because me winning in electric football would trigger the return of Christ! How many people do you put out, and to what degree, when you leave for an EF outing? I.E., What burdens are you putting on your wife, husband, significant other, pets, etc., when/if you leave them to go play. I'll have to say my dog, Maxxy (although I always call him Mackey Mack), always takes it the hardest when I leave. To see the intense sadness on his face puts a lump in my throat and gets me all teary-eyed pulling out of the driveway. My wife of course advises me to not let the door hit me in the a$# on the way out! LOL! When you return home from an EF outing do you feel the trip was worth it? Always. I'm still blown away that any other human beings actually play this game besides myself. Every game is a miracle in my book! Love it all! Sadly, it really did become a "miracle" in the HEFL if any coaches showed up to play! LOL! Is it more worth it if you win? I'm not sure I want to win, what with the previous answer about Jesus busting out of heaven! LOL! Is it less worth it if you lose? I'll say this, I consider a loss a win. That's how I can always be happy no matter what the outcome. Just playing a game of EF/MF is a "win" for me! This has less to do with playing EF but is much more important in my opinion.... Do you ever wonder if God gets more than a little discouraged with us due to our decisions and behaviors? God never gets discouraged with us, which is why he/she is such a loving/forgiving creator. 100% unconditional love. Our finite minds can't really comprehend that. We should be discouraged by ourselves for erroneous behavior/decisions. |
