Default A thanks to how I got to this hobby.

I am a sports "lover", I love most sports. If Our hobby was electric hockey or soccer I would not be in it, (although I do love foosehockey and fooseball.)
I am going to say miggle got me into the hobby.
The story:
I just got out of school and my mom was picking me up which she doesn't do much unless she needs to. She handed me a "catalog type" thing that was from miggle. I was looking up electric football in may 2007, but forgot about it the next week. This time I had something that would sit on my shelf next to my bed that would remind me. I quickly scanned through this "plugged in" catalog and got my interest back. The whole next week I talked my 11 year old brother and my 9 year old (could pass for an 11 year old) into earning money with me to buy the rose bowl. We got it very early in the mail in November. I also planned on painting some figures, but miggle didn't have my paints that I wanted.
Christmas:
I got more figures and bases for Christmas and was in love with the hobby. My brothers did not have the patience to play Miniature football and disliked it now. I got some paints and brushes and slopped on paint for a white "Jaguars" team. I cannot find that team now but I played with this team a lot.
January:
I got better brushes and decided to paint a team with a lot more quality, they were dark jaguars. I got better bases, and discovered looking up miniature football on Youtube. I found the 308 board on there and kept watching Reginald Rutledge video's. The next week I started scanning his website noticing how much better his figures were than Miggle's. A few weeks later I forgot about ff.com (then) and got back to miggle.
February (birth month) I got a 308 board for my birthday and waited a long time to get it having bad luck with how supplies needed to come in from russia and everything. Thanks to Reginald Rutledge He put in some stock figures and a 1975 vikings decal sheet into the box. I wasn't planning on...
Sorry, got to go will add more text tommarrow.
Michael

Default my favorite part...

"its my bedtime, gotta go".
It is so refreshing to hear from good kids. i work with the troubled of the trouble makers, so to hear a kid exit the site he loves because its bedtime, is just the best for me personally.
and to hear you get your brothers to save money to buy a board, wow, i dont hear that anymore either.
very nice story. i will look forward to hearing the rest. good job.

CONTINUED...
I wasn't planning on trying ff.net figures because I saw that I could get figures already painted for a cheap cost from Miggle. About a week later my mom got an e-mail from Reginald telling us that he put 2 bags of figures and a 1975 Vikings decal sheet into the package (by this time it is) and I was excited about that. I read more on his website and looked at his figures more carefully and I found the detail in his figures a lot better than Miggle's. I then set off to Wal-mart and got some Apple Barrel paints to paint my Vikes. A lot of trouble with sealers til I found krylon matte sealent and it worked great. My 308 board came on a Thursday and I remember getting pretty frustrated with how bouncy my board was. I called Reginald to thank him for my board and I asked him what I could do to improve my board because it is a little loud and bouncy, he told me the experiment with it and that he uses a 4.0 gram scale and he told me to use some putty on the bottom of my figure's base. I found some plummer's putty and used that. My figures did not bounce much now. The only problem was, the board was a little load. I asked a question on this board to find out what I could do, and I found out that I could drill holes in my board to the frame, so I did that, and now I have a good running board.
During my miniature football experience I have gained patience. I also have learned how to tweak bases, paint teams, apply decals , customize figures, play miniature football, and much more. If I only had the Miggle chatboard instead of this (not putting down the Miggle chatboard, just saying not nearly as much posts are on there as here) I wouldn't be nearly as "experienced" as I am now.
I am now in the process of creating the 1975 Minnnesota Vikings. I hope in the future to build my own metal board using Pit Couture's posts.
I am going to credit Miggle for getting me into this hobby. I am also going to credit Reginald Rutledge, the MFCA forum, the Miggle forum, Buzzball, Norbert Revels for teaching me the basics of how to tweak bases, and everyone else on this forum, for keeping me with this hobby.
I will credit Apple Barrel, and Michael's for my supplies that I bought to paint my teams.
This is how I got into miniature football and everyone on here helped me stick with it.

I used to think that store was lame, now a days not so much!

Good posts buddy, keep up the good work.
