I don't know what everyone is talking about. My games are 100% real. That's right, in my world Nazis play football against Amish guys. Clowns play against a team of living and dead NFL hall of famers. And a team of Bigfoots won a championship against a team of Fairies. Before every play a giant hand appears out of the sky and rolls some dice so the defense knows what formation to line up in. Guys fumble a ball that they weren't even holding, and penalties occur when there aren't any refs on the field. Field goals are kicked by some guy who has a hunk of metal wrapped around his waist, and tackles are made when their bodies aren't even touching!, but the slabs of plactic that they are standing on are. Anyone who says my games aren't real is a sad little foo-fluffing weedle wacker with no imagination! So there! :p

How "real" do we want OUR, yes OUR, game? So real and full of rules that it isn't fun anymore? How can we attract people, mainly youngsters who are
the future of this game, when it becomes or "appears", as appearance is reality in many cases, too complicated or bogged down by rules and our bickering? Heck we all don't use the same size board! How many board games in the past looked good, but when it came to play, because the inventors wanted the game as close to "real" as possible, it turned into a math class with nothing but calculations. Was that fun or real? One thing is for sure there will never be one set of rules, as everyone prefers different things. That's what makes our game great it's flexibility. I'm sure one day if a nationwide tournament was held we could all agree on a set of rules incorporating the different sets of rules and styles of play making all participants adapt and challenge their coaching skills. Gentlemen it ain't that hard. God Bless |
