Question for the Ravens Fans?

I am painting up a Ravens team. I ahev assumed that their helmets are Black?
The decals that I have for the Helmet stripe are a dark purple and DO NOT show on the helmet.
Have I made a mistake or are the decals just not compatable? Has anybody else had a similar problem? Are the helmets are color other than black?
The decal sets that are available to us today are fantastic. Thsi is the 1st conflict that I have had.
Help or advice would be appreciated as I am making a 60 player team.

You are correct, the helmets are black and the stripes are barely visible.

Even on the field the purple stripes are hard to see. I've painted my own Ravens and instead of using the decal stripes I painted my own. If I can find some picture I'll post the helmet with the stripes.

My Super Bowl XXXV Ravens squad that I play with in the VEFL is the first squad I painted back in 2001. I used a combination of decals and painted stripes. I had the same problem with the purple helmet stripe decals not showing up against the black helmet, so I bought a very fine paint brush and tried as best I could to make it a very thin line. The paint showed up great on the helmet. I'm going to paint another Ravens squad in the black on black uni combo and if the stripe decals on the helmet blend in too much I'm going to paint them on again.
