Default What color is??

How do you find the actual colors for certain NFL teams? Is the Packers helmets a gold color or a yellow color??

Default TRIAL AND ERROR

I have found that you have to actually paint the fig and then compare it to pictures. Everybody's eye and color perception is different. What looks spot on for one person is a lil different for another. Overall it is YOUR team so use YOUR eye. I personally used Delta Ceramcoat Bright Yellow which darkened a lil after the clearcoat. To each their own. Have fun.

Default THE BIG SEARCH

EFGAMER,

What i do is get a picture from either the internet or a sports magazine with that team in it. Then i take the picture to michaels ( craft store) and compare each and every paint color for the color you are looking for to that picture. You will find some paints are slightly darker or lighter as you go throught the bottles. YES !, i open each and every bottle (they don't mind) and match it with the picture. You must open the bottle, you can't get the full effect just buy looking at the label only to get home and say this is a little off. It can take up to an hour or more sometimes until you are absolutely sure THAT'S THE ONE !!!.

An example is the eagle's green jersey's. That is a tricky green color that needs your in store research. I don't see many eagle's teams posted here but remember dwayne jennings set of eagles he had at the miggle in baltimore, the ones in the case everyone was drueling over. He got that color scheme dead on. (for those who were at the miggle).

Go to the store with a picture of the packers, find the closest green and yellow compared to the picture, then hold up both bottles together to see if that is what you want your team to look like. Someone has an nfl color chart with all the various paint scheme's. The chart is an excellent source but i enjoy going to the store to get the scheme i want.

I have the Miggle gold/yellow done for the Packers and I can give it very positive reviews initially. It spreads/covers better than any yellow I've used before.

Miggle paints are designed for NFL teams, no hassle on color matching. I give them a thumbs up.

Default Also keep in mind...

Paint color IS different when dry than when it is still liquid.

And different types of paint dry differently.

Viscosity (thickness) of the paint affects the final color as well as the vehicle (liquid) carrying the pigment.

Default Packers

Helmet for the current packers is school bus yellow like the former Steelers color. The pants are what I call neon yellow, also like the current steelers. Hope that it helps.
For the record, I hate the current neon yellow used by the Steelers and Packers just like I hate black shoes. However, that is a whole other topic in itself.
