Now accepting article ideas for Spring 2009 issue of The Tweak
Here is your chance to be a part of The Tweak. I am now accepting articles for the Spring issue...the deadline for all articles will be Sunday March 15th. That gives everyone two months to write about your league, a coach, a strategy...whatever you would like to share, but I need to know your idea in advance, so we don't end up with dupicate type articles.
There are three ways to get a hold of us...e-mail, call or pm myself, Lynn Schmidt "Weirdwolf" or Al Dunham "RavenAl" with you story request. I have also been working on creating an official staff for the magazine. Below is a list of past contributors and coaches I would really like to hear from. I am going to try and contact all of these guys by phone over the next week or so. Those highlighted are those I have talked to and have made a committment to help us out throughout 2009. Want to be on this list...then send me a pm or e-mail...and thanks to everyone for your support of The Tweak... Dad and Nick...
Would like to submit the following articles:
1. Kids Corner article will focus on Nick discussing his first year in competitive league play (CNYEFL) as well as a side story about the electric football clinic we are going to be holding at his school in February. 2. 'Lax is offering a year in review of the inagural season of the BAM (2008) and a look ahead to 2009 and the anticipated expansion of the league. |

Team Bag ( what you need for easy travel )
I am not the right guy to write an article. And I am not sure if you guys already did an article like that. If not, I am sure a qualified writer could come up with something! That would be a great artcle for newbies.

We will take it...
SteelerDude
If you can put down an idea on paper...we can make it into a article. Jot down your ideas for an article or create a outline and I can get RavenAl to work on it with you...that is if you don't mind working with a guy that plays MF with clowns, Amish guys and Sasquatches!

Are there any...
...female coaches out there? If so, that would be a great article. If not, how about a running series of "supportive significant others". I've seen, heard, and read of how many wives, girlfriends (and in CorEy's case...mom) support the coaches and it would be good to occasionally hear their stories.
AND How about hearing from the coaches who use EF/MF in various youth programs around the country? AND Stories of EF/MF international appeal with stories on "Benster from the North" and Pit Couture. How the heck did those guys get into the hobby? AND Creating an "Innovation Corner" where we feature some of the innovations that guys have come up with for MF. (I still like those things that hook on the side of big boards where you can rest/organize your players and that thing where you can store your bases. The "Cleat Keeper" or something like that). Your thoughts?

Prettyboy and myself were just talking about some of those ideas. Corey had one idea to do the "Top 10 wifes" of MF. And we have one coach who is working on a youth related article...but the other two ideas are new...great brainstorming! I will add those ideas to the list

Also...
...how about a "Where are they now" series on MFCA members. For instance member # 1, #10, #50, #100, and so on.
AND More pics of members wearing/using MFCA shirts and cups. AND Articles of how to successfully advertise/market a league/tourney in your area.
