Well, I have no grudge against the Steelers, in fact, I helped Rob make a video they showed at Heinz Stadium which was a ton of fun. To me, the series of events are simple, he had both feet down, extended outwards to make the catch, as he did the right foot moved behind the left foot and off the ground, the catch was made with one foot down, then he fell out of bounds without retouching the field of play.

No matter how much a Steelers fan you are, you cannot walk away from that game and think the refs didn't help them. Worst thing is, they didn't need it, they are an extremely talented team! In fact, the SB against the Seahawks all the refs did was deny us a very entertaining game (the most boring SB of all-time).

As far as holding, that #68 (right guard) was holding on EVERY play, period! I like the games where the refs control the action without calling a penalty on every play. But the proof is in the pudding, the Steelers did NOT have to call any challenges, the Cardinals did twice. Three close calls in the final two minutes of each half, and hence booth review, went the Steelers way (the Harrison TD, the "catch" and the Warner fumble). It is just odd that one team receives ALL the close calls, isn't it?

As for most of this thread, I don't think that the calls on the big plays were all that bad. I just don't like it when a football game resembles a NBA game where the calls on one side of the floor out number the otherside.

case in point - item #1

Holding - in the NFL, you can almost call it on every play. For those who were looking at the game, you see Steeler O-line holding yet no call - conversely, the Cardnals are call for it on the opening play!

case point #2

Personal foul/roughing the passer - Cardnials were called for it once on that "penalty-filled" drive of the Steelers were that is a normal hit on the QB and it is not always called. On one of the key passes by Warner, I think it was down near the goalline and he is hit WAY late and there is no call and the player took more steps and unloaded.....

anyway, I wanted the Cardinals to win and they came close, but the referees DID NOT steal the game. The bad defense played on the last drive cost them the game.

Okay, you're the coach... 1st plat #10 makes the catch; next play #10 makes the catch; Next play incomplete (thown towards #10)...DON'T YOU KNOW THAT I WOULD HAVE HAVE MY BEST PLAYERS COVERING #10 THE REST OF THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!! however, they did not make this adjustment and it cost them...just ot finish, next play pass to #10; next play pass to #10; next play pass to #10 TD.............

take a look at the pictures. They had 3 guys where he was and they still couldn't stop the perfect pass ( which is all that boiled down to)

Default Can I get a What.. What!!!

Felas,

I can't stand these new Steelers! However, They endured and are the best team in the NFL this year! I've been watching the Cardinals for two years and I knew they could pulloff a Superbowl win. My fantasy football searches keeps me watching everybody and i loved the way their offense worked!I wish they would have won just to shake up the world! I just love that knd of thing! Anyway, That Holmes dud performed like my Steelers of Old (The 70's-80's). He looked like Swann or Stallworth coming up with the big clutch catch. He was in bounds, I know because I almost Cracked my HD looking at it! Should have been the ravens!!!!!

I hoped he was out.. I wanted him NOT to get both feet down..

Much to my dismay.. both feet were in.. Touchdown.
