My Miggle 620 vs. my 1979 Tudor 660

Thanks for the help guys! I'm leaning towards getting a vintage board to either keep for myself or give to my friend.

I have a Rose Bowl board & it is great. I also have a Miggle 620 & mine is not bad at all.

I found it intersting that when I emailed Miggle about the unacceptable quality of my new 620 Christmas present, they never responded.

I'm glad to hear that! You think its worth taking the risk to get a Rose Bowl?

Well, I took another shot at the 620 today. I tried the binder clips and it still didn't do worth a rip. But then I just grabbed a stack of shems and stuck them in between the table top and the motor, then cranked it up. It ran just fine! I also did not have the variable speed issue with the moving cord!

I still have the crown but with the board turned up, the players seem to power through it better. I also notice that if you turn the player facing back to the middle of the field, he'll sort of do a crab-walk straight down the field, through that crowned area. I think with a few accomodations, I can get by with it and send the older board back to the my friend . . . for now (he's flying back in the country as we speak). Besides, real fields are crowned anyway . . . right???

Here is one big thing I did notice about my motor and cord on the 620. There is a gap where the cord comes out of the motor box! There isn't a snug fit between the cord, the board and the motor box. However, the cord coming from the motor on my 660 is as snug as it can be! Does anyone else notice this about their 660s?
